  1. I hate when teams go full on protect the lead mode. I haven't breathed since the start of the third.
  2. A win tonight would put us in some pretty high company, pretty close to Boston Pittsburg Colorado St. Louis and Minnesota. They've all been playing well this year, but we're right there too.
  3. Yea that makes sense. Man it's gonna be weird not watching TSN like I used to. Then again it was already different without onrait and o'toole. Funny buggers
  4. How does the Roger's deal effect 24 CH?
  5. I agree with that too. It would benefit the whole line in terms of putting up points. Prust is a great players, brings a ton of energy and grit, he even has a little skill, but bournival brings a different element that Galchenyuk and Eller need, which is more finish. He's speedy as f#^% also. He's kind of doing what Gallagher did last year but with less of an opportunity
  6. I don't really see Marleau going anywhere barring a monumental collapse from San Jose this year. But honestly seein as the islanders are still doing nothing, they may trade vanek despite just picking him up. Same goes for Moulson if buffalo doesn't think he'll resign. And of course the ever present Jagr if NJ isn't in a playoff spot
  7. Call me crazy but I wouldn't do gaborik for Pacioretty straight up. He's a great player yes, multiple 40 goal scorer, but he's almost 32, soon to decline I not already in decline, when we had Pacioretty who is a 30-35 goal scorer who is only 25 is it? Patches has 7 + great years gaborik has 2 maybe. Now, I'm no trade evaluating expert, but Bourque, a 2nd and and good prospect (weary to throw beaulieu away) is that possible? Or what more would be needed for a rental of his calibre?
  8. Desharnais has 5 points in his last 4 games. Boys are also going to the net way harder. Lookin promising!
  9. Myers has 11" on Gallagher. Stupid buffalo commentator saying penalty was only due to size. Sorry dude that was boarding no matter who you are
  10. And Babcock wonders if he can trust PK. Tell PK what to do and he will do it. We have a star in PK that the Habs haven't had in years. If Galchenyuk can develop as we hope we'll have elite talent up front on defense and in goal. Cause Carey is playing at that level too
  11. Here's to Pacioretty scoring more goals and Desharnais actually looking half decent! Also want to see some points from Eller. I believe Bourque is sitting? I feel like Bergevin is dangling him. Bourque for Ovie?
  12. After a quick read on Dillon I must say that would be quite the acquisition for the Habs. He reminds me of.. Emelin haha. Looks to have half decent offensive upside even. Say 30 points, a boatload of hits, and as you mentioned he's only young. Sadly it makes me think he might be difficult to acquire. Diaz a second and a decent prospect, Ellis maybe. Don't know just a quick read but he would fit so good.
  13. Maybe Gaborik wen healthy.. I wonder who else other gm's are dangling.. I know Erat wants out of Washington but no thanks
  14. Interesting article on the homepage about Bergevin wanting to make a splash. http://www.habsworld.net/out.php?18387 Do you guys think there's any truth to it? And if so, who could he be dangling? Bourque is apparently a suspect
  15. Not saying that trading him is a good idea, but Beaulieu has had his troubles. Possible character issues with the whole assault thing, Mind numbing defensive gaffes at times etc. These are only things the organization can really know, but maybe they don't like what they see. They know he has value, so if they see other teams with interest in him, they make a trade. I think this could happen only if we are a serious contender at the deadline and are able to aquire a real nice asset in a package deal which will help us in the playoffs. Personally I feel Beaulieu has a bright future along with Tinordi, and will be part of our core within about 2 years. I just have this back of my mind nagging that he could be moved because of his past, and he isn't having a great season either.
  16. I was actually gonna comment on that too. If the deal is right I could see a package involving beaulieu for a decent return
  17. This is a tough hypothetical, because the place the team is in hugely effects who gets moved. Will be be buyers? Sellers? Or like last year will Bergevin be content with what he has? If were sellers, I truly think any of Bourque Gio Desharnais, Murray, Gorges. Diaz, Should and as the thread topic says, will get traded. I could see any two of that list going with Gio and Bourque at the forefront. If were buyers? List changes pretty quickly. Gorges Gio Murray and maybe Bourque could be considered too valuable to a playoff run, due to either character (Gio gorges) or size (Murray Bourque) Desharnais and Diaz could still be dealt as they might not be what the team needs for the run. If Desharnais exceeds expectations, I'd be veeery surprised to see him go, as management is probably in love with his frenchness. And he will only be moved if he is in the middle ground, where he is still shit, but is at least tradeable for an old bloody towel and a bag of pucks. Diaz however? I think he is most likely to go if contract talks don't go as planned. With what will hopefully end up solid years from both beaulieu and Tinordi, management will look at Diaz and say ahhhhh who needs him, a lower end prospect or mid round pick in return. *breathes*
  18. Here's a question (with an obvious choice for me) but, let's jus say (and pray) Desharnais just somewhat found his game and mangoes to put up ~40 points this season (I know optimistic). But what does Bergevin do with Desharnais then? He should trade him IMO while he has some small glimmer of a tradeable contract. Our top 9 just does not need Desharnais in the middle. Basic point of the question is, should we trade him the moment his contract is tradeable again?
  19. Ohhhh so we're talking about Maxim Paciorreté here?
  20. I realize you're being satirical, but if that is how he thinks maybe it wouldn't be so bad for MB to trade him hahah. As it is I think he just needs a kick in the ass. We need to see some emotion from these guys
  21. Just in case anyone mistook what I said above, I don't want Pacioretty traded, I just said I thought the Pacioretty Kane rumours were interesting. I think it'll just take Patches a goal to get back on track like last year. But I haven't seen a compete level in him yet like he's shown before.
  22. I'd like Blake wheeler too. Just cause he's real big and can score.
