  1. I didn't mention BoB simply because it was TV, but yes I own them, and yes, they are excellent. I was talking more modern movies as well. I was always a big fan of Kelly's Heroes, if we're talking about older ones. A really entertaining film.
  2. Our Lady Peace's album Burn Burn is great. Why do you say it stinks. In a way in reminds me of their older stuff but with a new touch.
  3. I find Second World War movies to be the best, probably because the conflict was the last truly polarized war. There was no doubt that it was a life and death struggle of good versus evil, and for the freedom of the majority of humanity. This is different then let's say, Vietnam. While certainly a struggle against what WE saw as good and evil, there truly was no good and evil in this war. While ideologies were the cause for war in Europe much like they were in Vietnam, to say Communism was the evil would be taking a fairly Western approach. This gives those World War Two movies a greater sense of urgency, of importance, at least in my opinion. To say Vietnam or Iraq is unimportant would be a very inappropriate statement, as they are very important. But the stakes are not nearly as high as they were several decades earlier. On the topic of WW2 movies, there are two clear standouts in my opinion. The first is Saving Private Ryan. Yes, it is a cliche. But can anyone really argue this isn't one of (if not the) greatest war film of all times? The opening scences of them hitting Omaha are among the best in film history. The movie is deep, and you really grow attached to the characters. My second choice would be Enemy at the Gates. Once again, you get to know the young Russian sniper from the Urals. You grow attached to him, and you really get a good insight of the struggles of Stalingrad and the impossible odds Soviet soliders faced.
  4. Agreed. I would buy the game for that alone. I have no idea why they'd even take that out, it's silly. To me, as odd as it sounds, that really is one of the best features. I can remeber back on NHL 05 I think it was, I had a balling team. Geoff Sanderson has a 98 point season for me. It was good stuff.
  5. Yeah, but I tend to group all the more modern films together. Jarhead, Black Hawk Down (which rocked my rocks), Three Kings (equally good movie).
  6. I miss Dagenais. Wasn't that guy suppose to be our saviour? lol
  7. Why? I thought Prospal has been one of their better players for quite a while now. Despite his stint in Philly, he was always a pretty steady body upfront. Is it just me who thinks he was always a quality player, or am I missing something?
  8. Fair point. I agree though, don't get me wrong. The game was shallow and boring. Ouu, watch me push my way through this crowd for 10 minutes to stab that one guy. This is after I get forced in the time machine so I can restore my memory, or whatever the fack it was. Seriously? It has a worse story than Viva la Pinata.
  9. So this year I'm off to University in Toronto, meaning I'll be leaving behind my NHL package and my HD tv. It is quite sad, I must say. Please give me your pity, I want it. In the meantime, however, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can continue to watch the Habs/NHL hockey in general. My leading idea would be the online NHL package. Then at least I can watch my Kings as well. Does anyone have more information on the online package, or any other alternatives? Thank you!
  10. EVERYONE I talk to think's it is God's bread. Even a lot of websites gave it good ratings, such as Gamespot. Buzz for this game has been generally very good, which stuns me. This game was only ever so-so, and dull.
  11. Assasins Creed = Most overrated game of all time. It's not that great.
  12. Got Tiger Woods 2010 yesterday. I absolutely love it. Loads of fun.
  13. Yeah, I'm a pretty generous guy. There were a few cheap laughs, but there was no plot, no clear direction, and no brilliant performances. Not to mention the story was as shallow as a shower, and the resolutions to the confilcts were unimaginative, uncreative and just downright bad. Once again, if you want to see a movie, I recommend The Taking of Pelham 123.
  14. Just went to see "I Love You, Beth Cooper." It was, err... rather pointless. I won't lie though, it wasn't my choice lol. TBRC's official rating - 4.5/10
  15. Ditto here. I originally golfed left, because I was shooting left in hockey. I switched soon after though. So now I golf right, play hockey left, bat right and am right handed. It just depends on what you're comfortable with.
  16. Nope, huge fan since season one. We've talked about it before. I'm cheeing for the Brains as a clique, but in terms of individuals, it looks like this: 1. Casey 2. Jeff 3. Ronnie 4. The Baloon Woman This is the best season in recent memory.
  17. Oh yeah, all the time. It doesn't really matter to me though, because like someone said, one degree or another does not determine someone's intelligence. Maybe I went into poli sci rather than the sciences because I enjoy the social sciences more. People are just a tad pathetic in the fact that a lot of them have nothing else to cling to. I can say with certainty that I will be more successful than these science kids because I'm more intelligent than them and am stronger in my field than they are in their's. Besides, I go to the University Of Toronto.
  18. BTH, let it go... seriously. If I want to hear more about this, I'll turn on CNN in the middle of North Korean missle test.
