If things keep going as such, we will miss the playoffs and MB will get axed. Real question is do they f it up and hire an old school hockey guy who tells them he can win a Cup in two years OR do they make a statement and hire someone with actual brains and vision and a mandate to burn it down.

While I have been a fan of MB thus far, we’re beginning to lose the lustre of his tenure. It seems that his most notorious mistakes, - Weber for Subban and letting Markov walk - seem to involve the D corps. I can’t help but think he systematically undervalues or mishandles our defence.

The bad thing is that it will probably have to wait until this year's deadline or next summer. Patience will be key here. Also, we didn't really offer Radu the same contract. To play devils advovate - FLA was destroyed by injuries last year. Is this not part of the equation for the coming year?

There's rumour of discord in BOS with the Pastrnak deal. While I don't think he could be traded to MTL directly, at least BOS will suck a little more if he gets moved.
