  4. PK will probably use the time off to surprise a bunch of kids again. The man can't rest!
  5. Explains why he looked comfortable there!
  6. I was at the Oshawa vs. Kingston game last night and McCarron got a fair bit of ice-time. No points, but he threw a few big hits and fought (pretty much a draw, but the Frontenac got the take-down). He was lining up at center for the majority of the game and did quite well on the draw. I wasn't sure if that was a new development, as I thought he was a winger. I wasn't blown away by his potential... but there is some potential there. He reminded me of a bigger Dale Weise, with a higher ceiling.
  7. Great post CC. We lost out to Philly in 2008 though, right?
  8. With two sets of back-to-back games this week, Tokarski is bound to get a start. I'd pencil him in against NJ on Friday.
  9. It gets confusing when people around here start thinking that our trade proposals are legitimate rumours.
  10. I agree that these make more sense.... they are the exact lines I use in NHL15!
  11. Day-to-day = concussion protocol?
  12. One of the articles I read pointed out how disgusting NHL ice really is. It's not too hard to imagine someone spitting on the ice and then have those germs fly up at someone else in a snow shower.
  13. He's skating and stickhandling on his own. Glad it's not too serious.
  14. Looks like his first goal came in a 4-1 loss to the Devils.
  15. Good decision to quit before he's too damaged to do anything else. I always liked him and I will miss that mustache lol.
  16. Such sad news, but wow, what an amazing outpouring of stories from those whose lives he'd touched. When something Bettman says gets me teary-eyed, it goes a long way to show how important Mr Beliveau was to the hockey world and Montreal. I love the idea of keeping his seat vacant.
  17. I still can't fathom how that second goal wasn't overruled...
  18. I'd agree if they hadn't had most of the week off.
  19. Emelin gets fined $11,021.51, or a 1/2 day's salary.
  20. To me it looks like Emelin has Gionta's shoulder lined up and then Gio turns into the check. Emelin doesn't change his path to target the head, but doesn't really try to avoid it either. In light of the NHL trying to crack down on headshots, I can see there being discipline, although I don't think that there should be.
  21. SJ bought heavily into Rivet's supposed leadership qualities.
