mathieu30
On RDS, they showed a close-up of him and he looked like he was wincing in pain. It may have got in between the pads a little, but it didn't seem very serious, obviously. Yep, he grimaced the same way in Washington the other day after he made a glove save on an Eminger slap shot. He made the stop & slowly went down on his knees with his head between his legs. It looked like he was in serious pain.

gohabsgo252006
Great work by the PK Higgins and Koivu look better on the PK WITHOUT RYDER Great playing by Streit and Plex. Streit is impressing me like crazy as a forward.
sbhatt
Ryder just keeps looking worse and worse. If Carbo hasn't pulled him aside for a one-on-one meeting thus far, that should be the first order of business tomorrow.

Streit is impressing me like crazy as a forward. there more the time goes the more im thinking we can do without ryders 20-30 goals...the kid creates more then 20-30 scoring chances for the opposition....so really we could do without him! n e ways lets hope the habs take things into there hands...gloves...sticks Edited January 3, 2007 by habs_in_the_blood

shortcat1
well, so far, so good... those of you who've really been following the contests between these two teams should readily recognize that the Lightning have been the better team on the ice pretty well in all of the games. Montreal has already stolen one or two games from the lightning thanks to huet, games that they should not have won, based upon shots on goal & comparative domination on the ice. The last game, though very one-sided, was more indicative of what these games have been... and, if you look at the final score and the domination on the ice, the score should have been even worse for us but it wasn't thanks to......... MFT77
Happy to be tied 1-1 after the first. Certain players like Streit, Perez and Saku showed some good spunk, but Ryder and Rivet looked terrible. Hate to keep picking on Rivet, but looks at least a step behind. Wouldn't mind seeing Lats get more time along with Streit. Wow, outshot the Bolts 7-3. Cmon Habs!!

brobin
The refs certainly are letting the Lightning "just play". A saw several hooks and holds that would have been penalties if the habs did it tonight. On the bright side, the habs are playing well in the second! Well Ryder just made a great move and almost scored... every time he slumps people want the guy dumped. He is streaky and all he needs is a couple going in to get his confidence back. Lats hasn't put that many more on the board lately either.

He may not have been scoring a lot lately, but he has been getting a fair share of assists.

You don't help ryder any by putting him on a checking line or some nonsense. The only switch that would work out is switching ryder with someone on the second line. But hey why change the lines, we havn't lost 7 in a row, lets wait until we lose alot before we fix our problems
