Trizzak
I did something similar last season. Some of these milestones should be met, others would require divine help. I'll try to stick to only notable acheivements (Kovalev scoring 20 this season isn't really news considering his career). Saku Koivu - 4 goals from 20, 6 goals from a new career high, 7 points from 50 Sheldon Souray - 3 goals from 20, (Interesting fact: Of Souray's 57 career goals, only 4 have come while not with the Habs) Alex Kovalev - 20 points from 800 in his career. Andrei Markov - 7 goals from 10 this season, and 50 in his career, and 9 points from 200 career points Tomas Plekanec - 10 goals from 20 this season, 1 goal from 20 career, 5 points from a new career high (Gotta love rookie/sophomore achievements!) Guilliame Latendresse - 10 goals from 20 this season Chris Higgins - 10 goals from a new career high Mark Streit - 5 goals from 10 Radek Bonk - 13 points from 450 career Craig Rivet - 3 goals from new career high Alexander Perezhogin - 5 goals from 10 and new career high, 6 points from new career high Mike Komisarek - 1 goal from 5 this season (Aiming high for Komi ) Francis Bouillon - 2 goals from career high Garth Murray - 3 points from 10 career I'll update accordingly. sakiqc
Ryder needs 5 goals for his 3rd season with 20+ goals. He could score 10 for his 3rd 25+goals season.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Ryder needs 5 goals for his 3rd season with 20+ goals. He could score 10 for his 3rd 25+goals season. This amazes me, because I'm really disappointed in Ryder this season. He seems to have lost the knack of scoring those big goals when it counts. I don't know what his problem is, but those would be 20 invisible goals in my books this season.

Yeah, I was thinking of putting that in, but I saw his 30 goal season and decided he couldn't match that. I'll edit Ryder in when he scores a goal. Chips
Thank you for this thread Trizzak. When you consider the stats for the entire team. It does put a better spin on things for me. We are still placing well in the playoff race. When we score and put up points its coming from all areas of the team. That does give me a moment to pause and be happy. But what really would impress me is if we also were able to judge effort. How much heart, passion, intensity and drive does each player bring to every game and shift? Shots on goal is one indicator, so is ice time and for what situation.. PK, PP, etc. If you bill in +/- that too would be a good indicator. Leaders on any team are important. We need more of our players to develop into leaders. on the ice, in the dressing room and when it counts! in big games... So getting back to this thread. its important to celebrate these milestones they create a backdrop for leaders and gives the players and yes even the fans a reason to cheer and play with heart, passion and pride. GO HABS GO!

shortcat1
ACCOMPLISHED! yes, he was interviewed tonight on rds tv about that achievement... as usual, he was very subdued about the whole thing... he simply said that one needed only to be in good health and such things could be done... well, not all 'healthy' players can do that so good for him! BTH
Alex Kovalev - 17 points from 800 in his career. Wow, that's a big one. And we were praising Bonk for just playing 800 games. What's surprising is that Kovalev just hit 700 mid-way through last season. I didn't realise he'd picked up 83 points since then. It still sounds like too many.
