Habsfan
I know the question wasn't directed at me, but I'd offer O'Byrne 10 million over 5 years. He is still young (for a d-man) he's huge 6'5", and has shown a rougher side to his game this year. He is mobile and is playing well with markov. Zowpeb
Heh, just realized that there are FIVE free agent d-men in 2011. Forgot to include Gill on the list. Gorges and O'Byrne will be restricted free agents with arbitration rights, one year from unrestricted free agency. So they'll be due raises, even if it is for just one year, that will essentially equate them with UFA pay level. It does not equate to a UFA pay level...supply and demand on an open market costs far more then RFA contracts.
