dlbalr
The Bulldogs (6-7-3) will look to get a winning streak going as they host Texas (9-5-3), affiliate of Dallas. Hamilton will be a bit shorthanded for this one as both Sven Andrighetto and Magnus Nygren are not expected to play, joining Dietz and Holland as notables on the shelf. dlbalr
1-0 Hamilton after 1. Tarnasky has his 6th of the year on the powerplay, Christian Thomas picked up his first assist as a Bulldog on the goal.
dlbalr
Something happened to Steve Quailer. It's like he woke up and actually did something. He scored his first of the year and then just a few minutes later, set up MacAulay who scored in his AHL debut. (He has yet to score in the ECHL this year to put that in a bit of perspective.) dlbalr
Tarnasky scored again, 4-0 Bulldogs after 2. I didn't see that coming.
miklin
-nice 5-1 finale -Quailer got the Gordie Howe Hat trick -best Dogs game all season -Tarnasky looked like the guy from the start of the season -stayed out of the penalty box which was a key except for the 5(!) fights -Texas seemed to be going after Dumont and Thomas and could have easily been called for dumping them constantly away from the puck -will have to let the post game show guys know that I don't want to listen to Joe Bowen doing a Phil Kessel call and then just mention the Montreal score without telling us Max got the trick -small crowd but record number of pan handlers outside Jackson Square
DON
Thomas had 8 shots, good stat. Leblanc had 2 assists
dlbalr
5 fights, that's a lot, especially when these two teams aren't exactly rivals. Even more shocking is that the two enforcers (Tarnasky and McIver) had none of them, that's odd. Cue the banana nonetheless. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1011336
BlueKross
Was this night a mirage or did we just see the stars aline?
Machine of Loving Grace
Scary how similar Montreal and Hamilton are right now. Looks like four lines where there isn't a #1 or a #4 line.
DON
Was this night a mirage or did we just see the stars aline? Shouldn't be a mirage and were missing Angrighetto, Nygren, Holland and Dietz. But MacAuley and Quailer helped lead the way was unusual. But Tarnasky and Torkarski have been quite good this year and both had good games again. Beaulieu still should be adding more offense than he is and Thomas will only get better once he gets a few games under his belt, so they should win a few more games and be competitive. dlbalr
Was this night a mirage or did we just see the stars aline? I'm going to go with a mirage. Three guys got their first goals of the year last night (two of them their first career AHL tallies no less); that level of secondary scoring isn't going to continue. Everything came together for one game at least but this is still a team that's going to struggle to score, even when fully healthy.
