sakiqc
Hey Hannes, when you have time, can you put the countries between () before the teams names? Also, when is the Champion league starting and ending?
jetsniper
We're stuck with AC Milan? >_<

gazer
First round of group matches start September 13/14, ending on May 17 in Paris, I can do the countries too if HABS Fan Nr.1 doesn't mind

The most interesting group is surely the one with Chelsea and the Reds - lots of emotions and the Blues surely want revenge for last season. Arsenal got a pretty good group and should have no problems to advance to the next round - hopefully. :/) BTW. Austria also has his team with Rapid Wien ... great that we have a team at the CL again, though I hate the Vienna guys. *fg* Nonetheless there will be great games, especially against Bayern München. gazer
Thanx Good to see a few teams not often there like Rapid and Thun. My fave team, Milan, didn't get the easiest group but its not the toughest either. Playing in Istanbul will be tricky for sure. Hoping for Milan and PSV from group E. Good luck to Arsenal. But they got some new players (but most of them are not allowed to play in the Champ. League.....)

jetsniper
Yeah, I know. You can always hope for the best for though, right? I'm in for a rough season. I've still got Ajax to cheer for in Champions League though. I don't mind if ManU, Arsenal or Chelsea win either just because of Ruud, Bergkamp and Robben. Dutch_Habs_Fan
Your kinde Dutch minded. WHy is that? (nothing wrong with that though. And yes you can always hope for the best, who thought they made it that far last season!

You'd think I was 100% Dutch by the way I act though, insanely proud of my dutch heritage ....Now I just need to do some research on dutch history >_> It's like my dad told me....If it ain't dutch, it ain't much. Dutch_Habs_Fan
Yup, you're right about that Well it's good to see some more dutch here, and yeah, learn on the history, haha!! Let's hope the dutch teams to good in europe, but i think it's gonna be a bummer..... (you speak any dutch?/Spreek je een beetje nederlands?) bombTHEice
I say that the Blues will win it all this year, though I hope (as always) for the Gunners. :/) Lyon could surprise like the Reds did last year - they're improving from year to year, though they recently lost Essien to the Blues. @Denis Savard: Welcome to HabsWorld - I think you're the first Spanish hockey fan here, enjoy your stay. bombTHEice
Just watched the Battle of Britain, though it wasn't such a battle in the end ... *fg* 1-0 for England with a goal from Joe Cole but it wasn't a great game ... Wales not dangerous enough and England trying their new 4-5-1 system. Hopefully the evening games will be a bit more interesting ...

I know more german then dutch since it was the closest thing to dutch my high school offered. I'd like to go take some lessons though. Do you know where Waarde is? Ever been there or anything? Dutch_Habs_Fan
Waarde means Value, dunno a place called that way. (yes take lessons, i will correct you, hahha) England -Wales wasnt the only bad game. Armenia - Holland was so bad, i left during half time. It hurt my Eyes. Armenia full in defence, and every ball they could get they hit it as hard as they could away. Sooo boring...
jetsniper
lol, my dad was born in Waarde, thats why I asked. He said it was some two-bit town when he moved but that was back in 1954 so I was wondering if it had grown at all. Guess not
Dutch_Habs_Fan
Holland needs to play against tiny teams like Macedonia and Andorra. Also against opponent Tjechie, but they lost yesterday against Roemenia. Now we are 4 points ahead of them. So you can say we could lose the Tjechië game and still we advance (or we have to lose against Andorra or Macedonia). We never qualify this easy, it's a wonder!! bombTHEice
Yea, CocaineMutu scored both goals vs the Czechs ... the 2nd was a beauty, like the one Guily scored vs. Madrid last year. Austria is out of the WC race, losing in a heartbraker 2-3 to Poland ...
