GoHabs2002
Game isn't on tv (qc-based tv, anyway)...confusing remarks from Julien on rds.ca: Letendresse isn't playing tonight and they are considering keeping both tough guys on the roster Guillaume Latendresse ne jouera pas contre les Sénateurs samedi à Ottawa.
TheBigRedC
Well this is definitely going to be a hard game. We definitely need the KKZ line. Heres hoping the same mishap does not happen this game...

Tony_
By the way, TSN.ca posted this: Originally posted by: TSN.caIn Montreal, the Canadiens have their hands full with as many as three spots available at forward. Even after dealing forward Marcel Hossa to the Rangers on Friday, the team still has to choose between prospects Chris Higgins, Alexander Perezhogin, Tomas Plekanec and Guillaume Latendresse. All indications are that Higgins and Perezhogin are penciled in for the opening night roster, leaving Plekanec and Latendresse battling for the final spot. Latendresse will not be in uniform tonight as the Habs battle the Ottawa Senators in the first game of a home-and-home series. I don't know about you but I'd rather see Plekanec get a spot over Latendresse. Plekanec has been probably the best player during pre-season. Spider-Man NL
http://www.canadiens.com/eng/news/redirect...newsItemID=4386 Northeast Division rivals begin home-and-home series in Ottawa on Saturday night OTTAWA - The auditions at the Canadiens’ training camp are coming to a close as the preseason schedule wraps up with a home-and-home set against the undefeated Senators, beginning tonight at the Corel Centre in Ottawa. With Friday’s dealing of Marcel Hossa to the Big Apple, 26 players now remain on a Montreal roster that must be trimmed to 23 before the start of the regular season Wednesday night in Boston. The ongoing Canadiens’ edition of Survivor will see two struggles come down to the wire beginning with the blueline battle between Swiss import Mark Streit and former first-round pick Ron Hainsey. Both have had their ups and downs during the preseason but Hainsey appears to have the edge on paper with a goal and minus-2 rating versus Streit’s one assist and rating of minus-4. This weekend, all eyes will be on the ongoing fairytale that has been Guillaume Latendresse’s training camp as he continues his quest to become only the third 18-year-old in over 30 years to crack the Canadiens’ lineup since Mario Tremblay (1974) and Petr Svoboda (1984). Despite having played in only four of the Canadiens six preseason games to date, Latendresse co-leads the team with three goals and his six points place him only one point behind team leader and former Senator Radek Bonk, who will be facing his former team for the first time. The sparks are likely to fly on the power-play this weekend with the Canadiens and Senators being among the teams taking full advantage the league’s crackdown on obstruction. The Canadiens, who enter this weekend’s action with a 4-2 preseason record, continue to boast the NHL’s top power-play at 27.3 per cent while the 6-0 Senators are sixth at 20.4 per cent. Preseason Stats Radek Bonk, the Canadiens' leading scorer in the preseason, will face off against his former teammates, as he makes his first visit to Ottawa since being acquired by Montreal in 2004. shortcat1
This is going to be one tough one for the boys, especially if Ottawa presents a variation on an 'A' team. A real test of what we've got. Don't want to sound pessimistic, just realistic. I don't think our guys will be able to match the Sens tonight. 1) the Sens are 6-0, 2) the Sens are ridiculously talented, 3) the Sens have a more established team while ours is in transition (lots of rookies) 4) this is a home game for the Sens. What may make a positive difference for our guys is the quality of play of Hasek, but this isn't a revelation to any of you. :hlogo::ghg::hlogo:
beckham
I think they want to see if he can do the same on the road. But seriously, I think his chances of sticking are about 10%.
