Mont Royale
I believe it's actually 'iceburgh' - obviously the spelling is a reference to Pittsburgh. The name was referring to their arena, the Igloo.
KoZed
Iceburg is the name of the mascot. I'm looking for the name of the penguin in the logo itself.
BTH
hah, why would they name the Penguin?
jetsniper
I know it has something to do with the fact they play in Pennsylvania. Like...PENguins. PENnsylvania. Yeah...
KoZed
Alright, I'll just answer it myself: 1) The penguin in the logo is named Pete. 2) The name comes from the name of the guy who used to do the mascot. When the franchise started in the NHL, the mascot would sit with the players on the bench. But after a month in the season, the guy died. So they named the penguin in the logo Pete in his honor. KoZed
New question: Except Original 6 teams... 1) Which NHL team has won the most Calder trophies? 2) Who were the winners?
jetsniper
I'm pretty sure it's Calgary. I know Suter and Nieuwendyk won it. And I think Makarov did too. So I'll go with Calgary and 3 times.

If I'd have said "franchise", Calgary/Atlanta Flames would be right because Vail and Plett also won the Calder in Atlanta. But I'm looking for a team. And Calgary is not it. jetsniper
I was totally forgetting about Berard. I forgot he got traded while he was still a prospect. During the 1999 draft, how many Calgary Hitmen were drafted and who were they?

Strummerman
Ok in honour of the boomer's passing away, I remember the memorial cup winning junior canadiens of the late sixties had another player with the nickname boom boom. Who was he? Most of his career was spent in the WHA?

JMMR
Who scored the game winning goal in the Good Friday Brawl Game between Quebec and Montreal in the playoffs in 1984. I only ask this because it was on TV today.
