  1. The only comments Cherry makes about the Bruins/Habs: * Bournival is a rookie and his shot was terrible. And wondered why is he playing with Vanek * Alluded to Subban ducking a hit. * Applauded Thornton for getting his stick up to defend the Weise hit. Made some sort of beaver reference. * Gallagher falling on Campbell was not cool That is all Must still be sour from the 70's
  2. I'm actually having a good time going back and reading some of the threads. I think that Bergevin's best trades have been the ones that he didn't make. People wanted to blow this team up and trade 79, 21, 17, 81, 26, 51 and 48 because they didn't think we were good enough to compete. Can you imagine?
  3. Oh, how fondly I remember many posting on here that we didn't get enough back for our stud defenseman Diaz...
  4. To the general population. True judges of talent knew he arrived as soon as he got to Montreal.
  5. I usually get them on ebay or kijiji no problem. Usually if it's game day or the day before and the tickets are hard copy they will meet you in person. Expect to pay a premium though
  6. Oh yes I forgot about Vanek having the "Bruin killer" title, that's great. Another big factor I don't think that has been discussed yet is how the refs will call the games. Boston is a team that always pushes the limit when playing and what the refs allow them to do will be important in the outcome of this series. It'll be tough to win if it's a Marchand punching the crap out of a Sedin with no call type of series.
  7. I think that the 2011 Cup champ Bruins team is better than this year's version, despite winning the regular season. I also think that this year's Habs team is better than the 2011 team that took the Bruins to game 7 in overtime. By my debatable logic, Habs will win this series.
  8. I'm of the belief that since we are now among the top 8 in the league, we already are legit contenders. We didn't fluke our way to this position by any means. A tough task is ahead against the President's trophy winners and I don't think that losing to them would take away anything that has been accomplished thus far or moving forward.
  9. The only thing I can think of at the moment is the Kings a couple years ago having multiple long breaks on the way to the cup.
  10. I almost want to lose this game and win the next one just so my pre-series prediction comes true...but a sweep would be great
  11. It is mostly the uneducated and/or biased that have their opinions against the Habs. Perhaps because Montreal is the only Canadian team in the spotlight this year, I have noticed many fringe hockey fans actually complimenting this current Habs team. People are actually watching the games and forming their own opinion, rather than following the anti-Hab movement like sheep. Of course there always will be haters out there that will never give credit where it is due. I've said it numerous times, this current Hab team is the best that we have seen in a long time.
  12. Let us not forget this call that went against us last year: http://i.imgur.com/fWhuRpe.gif I don't feel bad whatsoever if we get a call our way
  13. No. We should start a thread asking who else should coach the team.
  14. They are playing as well as they have played all season, and this is a 100 point team. Suddenly it seems easy to see how good they actually are, especially when it counts.
  15. Hahahaha, waves off his own penalty. This might be the first instance where I blame a ref for losing a game before it starts.
  16. I remember reading a stat somewhere about our record when he is reffing, it was wayyy below .500, but yes I agree, he is just awful overall
  17. Well at least we got a split in Tampa
  18. I thought a few of them just about went in and sometimes they were able to get the puck afterwards so it wasn't all for not.
  19. I found myself nervous every time Tampa got a shot on net, despite not feeling that way all year. Price did not have a good game at all and got bailed out on a few occasions by the D. His is moving far too much laterally and leaving himself out of position. This is typical of him when he has off games, he just needs to slow down and let the puck come to him, not the other way around. I'm sure Waite will be all over this in the video review.
  20. This eerily has the feel of the Senators series last year so far
  21. Healy may as well have a Lightning jersey on in between the benches
  22. How about Danny Briere? Looks like a different player out there, may not be long before he gets bumped up in the lineup
  23. My two year old and I both have had our jerseys on since after supper. If you have one, a playoff game is as good a time as any to wear it
