  1. What would a goofy value or ranking be for the young d? Hutson 1st rd pick+++ Guhle 1st rd pick ++ Reinbacher 1st rd pick+ Mailloux 1st rd pick Xhekaj a young top-six forward (Pefetti)(combined with Jets pick?) Harris 2nd rd pick + Struble 2nd rd pick + Barron 3rd rd pick Kovacevic 3rd rd pick
  2. His stats show lots of assists, unlike an Eiserman and didnt hear he was below average defensively. But think the bigger Lindstrom/Iginla would be preferred by Hughes (and most HabFans i think?).
  3. NHL Mock Draft 2024: Macklin Celebrini to Sharks as we pick for every lottery team - The Athletic The Athletic mock, has a trade at 5 and take Iginla at 9. Interesting.
  4. What a nice comeback by the Aves after being down 3-0 in the 1st period. I thought was game over, should be a fun series. This fellow is doing 'well'
  5. IIHF - Home Prelim games yesterday USA 6 beat Slovakia 2 Caufield 0pts/Slafkovski 1g Canada 4 beat Hungary 4-0 Guhle 0pts Real games start Thursday May 10 games Slovakia vs Germany 10:20 am - World Championship Preliminary round - Watch on TSN4/RDS Juraj Slafkovský (#20) - Czechia vs Finland 2:20 pm - World Championship Preliminary round - Watch on TSN1 Oliver Kapanen (#79) - Sweden vs United States 2:20 pm - World Championship Preliminary round - Watch on TSN4/RDS/NHLN-US Cole Caufield (#22) - Habs Prospects
  6. Celebrini going 1st. And Demidov seems interesting fit with Bedard; but, hopefully the Hawks have a bigger hole on defense. Which way will the Ducks & Columbus likely be leaning, d or forward? (Recent poll had Lindstrom as Habfans favourite to draft after Celebrini, i still would prefer Demidov/Catton for their skill/offense, but a potential powerhorse like Lindstrom is intriguing for sure.)
  7. Habs Prospects All games are at Eastern time May 7 games United States at Slovakia 12:00 pm - Exhibition game (Bratislava, Slovakia) Cole Caufield (#22) - Juraj Slafkovský - Canada at Hungary 1:00 pm - Exhibition game (Budapest, Hungary) Kaiden Guhle (#21) -
  8. Assume one of Mailloux, Struble, Harris, Kovacevic, Barron is gone this summer. What value would Mailloux & Jets pick be to the Jets? Would it be Cole Perfetti value?
  9. I imagine the Hab scouts keep tabs on young top prospects in prep academies, rookies in CHL, U-16, etc and lots of youth tournaments. Last year it was noted, will be more high quality d-men in the 2024 draft and am sure Mgmt knew this. But; picking by position might not be best way to go with high school kids, to then be hedging bets on next year's draft 16 yr olds.
  10. 3 in 29 times it has happened; Canadiens hope luck in on their side at Tuesday's NHL Draft Lottery | Montreal Gazette "The NHL introduced the draft lottery in 1995. In the first 29 years of the lottery, the team with the best odds has won the No. 1 pick 11 times. ... Three times, the team with the fifth-best odds of winning the draft lottery (the Canadiens’ position this season) have won the No. 1 pick. Those three teams were the New York Islanders, who selected goalie Rick DiPietro in 2000; the Blackhawks, who picked Patrick Kane in 2007; and the New Jersey Devils, who drafted Nico Hischier in 2017."

  12. I think Rangers and Aves will win their. series
  13. Safe to say Eiserman will always have more goals than assists and worry is that when aint scoring, he wont bring much to table (Hoffman i keep thinking)
  14. My guess, the Aves. Will be some wildass mockdraft guesses which players GMs draft in the top ten this year, with so many quality d-men in the mix (a year late for Habs though). Wheeler attended the U-18s and new ranking. 2024 NHL Draft top 32 prospects: Macklin Celebrini leads Scott Wheeler’s post-U18 worlds ranking - The Athletic "Five of the top-10 prospects on my list are D, and I’m higher on each of them than I was on the two defensemen taken in the top 10 in 2023 (David Reinbacher No. 5 to Montreal and Dmitri Simashev No. 6 to Arizona)." A sea of d-men around 5.
