  1. Well done! I was wondering where the game thread was! Go Habs Go!!!
  2. PMAC just for your guide, that letter was published, I read it on the Train after our two game thrashing of the Leafs!
  3. This thread made me laugh! Take huet's name out, insert Theodore, same thing 5 months ago. Unfortunately for Theo, and Huet they can't score goals themselves to help their cause! The bottom line is that if we don't get some offence going we will be on the outside looking in. The goaltending with Huet and Aebischer will be more than enoughn if some of our so called snipers could hit the net. We need more out of Koivu, kovalev, ribeiro, ryder etc if we have any hope of appearing in the post season.
  4. Take this for what it's worth cause it's from Eklund...but...interesting none the less! Tomas Plekanec 03/06/2006 @ 09:20 PM I recieved an anonymous tip that the Canadien Forward was about to be moved...Someone in the press box up here just noticed a trainer pull him off the bench and he just went up the runway...take it for what it is worth...the tip came from a new source, and I am only reporting it because Plekanec looked at the trainer and looked confused......hard to tell, since we are hundreds of feet away, but this is very suspicious...this deadline is getting interesting...
  5. It's no wonder no one wants to play in Montreal, the fans are such bandwagoners its nuts. All in keep hearing everyone say is that Theo has only had one good year. What about 2003-04...he was an ALL-Star, 33 W's, 2.37 gaa, 919 save percentage. This year he's been very streaky, but hardly the only one at fault when the team was struggling. When this team was the AHL Canadiend he was also putting up decent #'s, so anybody who says he's only had one good year is not paying attention. I think we will regret it when he gets run out of town.
  6. thanks for the help, much apreciated.
  7. thanks, tried that but still can't find a real good close-up of the details...
  8. Anyone have a good picture of Theo's new mask, both front and back. I was noticing the other day he's got some stuff on the back of it, some elephants, his # and i thought I saw a couple different #'s. Just wondering what they all were...can only find his old mask on google...
  9. Bonkers scratched, Perezhogin playing with Plex and Ryder...Zed on the third line, Ribs on the fourth..according to RDS.
  10. might as well throw Kovalev's contract under the bus as well...how do you think his 4.5 per year will look when he's 36. Looks like his old Ranger self right now.
  11. no game thread today??? i would start one but don't know how to put up all those fancy pictures :-(
  12. agreed pmkoivu...got to be tough to get anything of value back for these guys. Almost like an old car , sometimes it's worth more to you than anyone is willing to pay youfor it.
  13. Besides the promising rookies on our team, who has perceived value to any other team in the NHL? It might not be as easy as most think it is to dump a Ribeiro or Theodore etc, and get anything in return.
  14. I pretty much agree 100% with all the players you called out.
  15. I'm all about accountability and could care less if Theo or huet gets the starts. My point was that it really doesn't matter who is in nets because the team is playing with zero confidence right now. And yes I was watching the game , thats why I said he let in 2 bad goals i.m.o, and just as when Theo goes down early and a shot whizzes by his ear I call it a bad goal. My opinion is that the team has many more weaknesses than goaltending thats all, the defence needs to be upgraded and we need to get tougher up front. Not to mention ourso called star players have to earn their $$$ including Kovalev,Koivu,Zednik,Souray,Rivet,Bonk. I dont see anyone lynching Kovalev and Koivu for not showing up on this road trip? why not? They've been nowhere to be seen!
  16. I hope rivet, Zednik, Koivu, Kovalev, sundstrom, souray, komisarek etc..get torn apart as well cause they're just as much to blame and playing just as badly as Theodore.
  17. games in hand mean nothing when we lose every one of them.
  18. how about the 2 goals huet let in they were horrible. I've said it a million times, there are way more problems on this team than just the goaltending. the simple question is will this team improve with a different goalie? I still maintain regardless of who's in nets this team is soft, not willing to pay the price and has a very weak defensive corps(especially with /Markov out). even if we trade Theo at his low value...the results will be the same even if you have Patrick Roy in nets.
  19. Just for your guide...Brodeur or Luongo aren't coming anywhere near the Habs in our lifetimes. Huet is a very capable back-up goalie thats it.Are you forgetting the games against atlanta and minnesota? 4 goals allowed in each? He's had 2 good games against Ottawa, thats it.
  20. All I can say is good luck to this team if they trade Theo...they will be back to the stone age. over 41 games a mediocre Theo will be able to outperform a stellar Huet. Not to mention the players that are being mentioned in trades are bordering on ludicrous.Hejduk, bertuzzi, Brodeur...please folks get real, these are mad rants from Eklund who is basicly never right (boston, montreal, newjersey and buffalo in the hunt for Sykora-he goes to rangers). Anyway...I grow tired of this issue...like it or not Theo will be a habs for the rest of the season, the downside to trading him is too much.
