That's the one. He just swung back with his stick and chopped Marky down like a tree.

Ya there were a few non calls. Sharks are slow and get away with a lot of clutch and grab. Lee is the worst ref in the NHL. The clipping call on Plek was gross. His knees were barely bent. He wasn't low at all.

What a disapointing loss. I really thought they could do it, but they held back in the third and were dominated. Can't fault Price on the two deflections and the wide open slot one timer. Price was amazing tonight. I liked the way the Habs played for 50 minutes. The last 10 was brutal. I love how much passion Pouliot plays with. He was defending the dirty play on Gionta. It really looked like a four line team to me. Against the best team in the league, I think that says a lot.

Detailed look at Gauthier's record

The whole spacek thing amazes me. One of my Oiler fan buddies was asking me how I like Spacek. I said meh. He was blown away. Spacek was awesome in Edmonton in the playoff run. But he played the left side unless on the power play. -
What it will take to resign Pleks/Halak/Price et el?

I really believe that spaceman would be a different player on the left side. He has shown this for years. I hope they can trade Hammer. As much as it hurts, a left D has to go. His high salary may be hard to unload though. PG may have to make some tough decisions. -

IS GAUTHIER THE NEW HOULE? -
Did benny sign that picture for you or is it one from the internet?
-
I would. The first and the second sweeten that pot.

Smid is developing. Probably looks a bit better than O'Byrne. I like him, but I am also an Edmonton fan. I think he will be a solid #4 someday, but may end up a 6 or 7. It's sometimes hard to tell with defensemen.
-
Total bull. Dallas is going to trade a 1st 2nd 3rd, Brunsstrom and Richards for Horcoff, Grebeshkov, a prospect and a 3rd? Ya i dont think so.
-
Kozed, I said to myself as soon as Marleau and especially Thornton were named the the team that this team was in trouble. I'm sorry, but I have no faith in this guy when it really matters. How many times has he been a favourite to carry the cup. I just have no faith in Thornton at all. I hope he doesn't curse the rest of the team.

I found that teh slow positional expertise of Miller was just too much and the reactionary efforts of Marty couldn't match it. Haha, just kidding Jackp.
-
I have thought this too. I could see him trying to come west and be closer to home. Edmonton anybody? Even if he does start getting better, unless the reserve cowboy that flew to the big city of William's lake for games becomes a lover of the metropolitan likestyle, I could see him wanting to come back west.

Hahaha, the third best Canadian goalie in the world, behind the greatest gooalie of all time and a more experienced Bobby Lou. I sense some sarcasm there.
-
I hate the cap. I want to keep him and Carey and Plek and benny P. That aint hapening unless some big contracts go bye bye.
-
Arrrgh. I watch every Oilers game. We don't want this kid. Unless it's for nothing. He is small, get's pushed off the puck easily. He may have an upside later, but the Habs have enough little perimeter players. They don't need another. Cogliano has 13 points in 61 games and is a -8. SK has 10 points in 30 games. Really just ignoring the stats. I love th eway SK can play. My worry is that him and his brother tend to be a lttle lazy.
-
Marty will be too old. Price will be second or third behind Bobby Lou
-
+I watch him all the time in Edmonton. We don't want him. I like SK way more.
-
Price too. You heard it here first!

Korneev was paired with Gonchar on the PP last night. I wasn't overly impressed with his play. Think he'll ever cross the pond? Weber had a horrible game against the US yesterday. Many defensive blunders in the second and couple bad penalties if I remember right.
-
PK's style makes me a little nervous. He will get caught and he will get booed. There is no question. He is fun to watch though. I think we finally have a right handed stud defenseman in the making.
-
I still think Carle was very good in the NHL. I was very surprised when they sent him down.
-
I like Hammer a whole bunch. He has been a very good signing. Waaaaay better than Souray has for the Oilers, I just think that 5.5 million would hit the spot for getting Plek and Halak and Price and Pouliot signed. His one year contract could be ditchable. My ideal situation would be to see him dealt before the trade deadline. It would have to be for 5.5 million worth of players. Or close to it. Prefferably guys that are in the final year of their contract. Either that or we could pull a murray and deal a few 2 and 3 million dollar guys for picks. That's how he freed up the cash for Heatly. Sent 3 guys to Vancouver for picks and prospects. Just a salary dump.

It's a team doctor thing. If the Habs team doctor says he can't play, then he can't play, but Russia will still let him try it out for the olympics. Andre might play too. He is close to ready. I think that's what i heard anyway. Something like that
