What do we do with Ryder now? If Lil Kosty is getting points, we can't boot him outta the 1st line. Guys like Ryder, Lats and Lil Kosty need first or second line talent around them in order to produce. I still think that Lats needs his shot at the first before Ryder. He has been playing better lately. Agree, we usually do well on the south west road trip though, so hopefully we own Dallas. Pricey in nets I assume. -

Ah this site is starting remind of the old ESPN board with Linden Fan. Too much with the contraversy. Huet sucks at shootouts. His stats and performance say so. End of story. Our shooters suck at shootouts. Saku's move is way too old and everyone is waiting for it, Kovy tries that high backhand too much and misses the net. Our shooters suck at shootouts...end of story. Habs suck at shootouts...End of story :puke: -

I hope there isn't a bunch of negative junk about this loss. 37 shots is a good thing. 3 points out of 4 on the road is a good thing. A goal by the rookie is a good thing. And coming from behind after 40 minutes shows some character, and is a good thing. -

Well, at least the boys came back and tied the game after being behind for 40 minutes. I'm a little surprised that Kovy didn't shoot 2nd. Also, Koivu needs to mix up his moves a little. It's the same one everytime. -

Lats is playing agressive. I wish he could play on the first 2 lines somehow. I'd like to see the Kosties together too. -

Ya he's an ugly bugger, but he's a beast for a 3rd line centre, shutdown guy. -

Broke his freakin glove -
-High scoring right winger. 40 goals, 7 assists. -Ryder gets a hat trick and remembers that there is a space behind the guy with the big mask and funny pads. -we find a way to not look like we are on the PK when we are 5 on 5 in our own zone. -Carey Price stops letting in the stinky ones. His high blocker and 5 hole scare me a little.

I have heard rumours that he plays hurt a lot too. His current contract is not ridiculous. Montreal is notorious for signing stars and them playing less than expected. If Kovy performs, why trade him? I have seen so many stars traded to this team, and have watched them slow down the second they got here. -

Sounds like Huet saves us. I think Price will be amazing, but I have more confidence in Huet stealing a game. -

OK, can Lats play with Higgins and Koivu? How is Lats on the right side? This line looks good on paper. Set up man, energizer bunny digger, and big puck protector with good hands. One of the best line I can remember was set up very similar. Morrison digging, Nazlund setting up, and Bertuzzi being big. Lats actually reminds me of young Bertuzzi in New York. -

Woooooooot. LIL T1TTies with the milestone. Many more to come I hope. -
The bottom line is that there are a few (10) games a year that Saku doesn't play well. And when Saku doesn't play well, the Habs lose...End of story. So does trading him make everything better? In my opinion, No it does not. What makes everything better is depth in the top 2 lines. I am really fricken happy to say, for the first time in years, that a good right winger on the first line could change everything. Last year, when Higgins ,Ryder, and Koivu were on their "A" game, people were so happy that we finally had a true first line. Then Higgins was hurt. Lats stepped up and played well, but wasn't really a first liner. Ryder was more of a true goal scorer than Higgins. Higgins is a digger. Ryder is playing like a bum, so Koivu's bad games look that much worse when he has no support. I think Koivu is a great 4.5 mill guy, and a trade will not bring anything better. That said, everything is for sale for the right price.

Sounds like Price played well too. Gonna get up after nightshift to watch this on Canadiens Express. Gotta see how Sergei looked -
You are preaching to choir. I think that if Koivu had a good right winger, he could make him look good sometimes when he needs it. You missed my point. What I meant was that if a player slows down, it's up to other players on the team to take some of the weight so he can find his feet again. Higgins is no problem, but he is a work horse like Smythe. Ryder's shot release was so important to that line.
