  1. Moe welcome aboard. Any way you guys can trade PJ Stock to WEEI 850AM Sports Radio in Boston? Would be nice to hear someone without a grudge towards the Habs and Carey Price. Plus the Bruins SUCK. (Just getting into game mode early ) I stopped listening to you guys 6 weeks ago because of that idiot! -Jeff
  2. Welcome aboard. As a young one way back in the HABS multi Stanley Cup years living in Leaf heartland, I had no problem with all my friends(All being Leaf fans). While they taled cr@p, I talked Cup and it stunted their mental growth! Always loved watching Habs skate around Leafs top players like they do today. Habs build for cups while Leafs build retirement homes for overpaid OLD RETREADS looking forward to their summers off.
  3. Habs proved they can beat anyone in the east this year. I believe the record against the laughs was 4-3-0-1 this year. Considering playing Habs is the Leafs only chance of Stanley Cup - Like Glory.
  4. In all seriousness KoZed is right. Boston Montreal playoff games are a whole different beast. It is the matchup I always love as I was a young'n when Dung Churry got called for too many men on the ice and Guy Lafluer SCORES!!! I respect Boston, I like watching the Habs play Boston and this year I am going to enjoy watching the Habs BEAT BOSTON in 6. Plus it will shut up Boston fan extreme PJ Stock the ultimate Crap hockey jock up on the Team990!
  5. Yup! I stuck it out and accept the Yearly honour of Foot In Mouth Award.
  6. OK, guys enough of the being scared about other teams. Montreal finished with most goals, best power play and first in the east so far. IT WAS NOT A FLUKE! I doubted them at the start, they converted me with consistancy and are winners. No more loser talk Habs rule the roost in the East and other teams better watch out for the Mighty Habs. (Did I do a good job with my Pep talk?)
  7. I have a love hate relationship with CBC. Dung churry and the eastern games YOUR FIRED!!! Western games with Kelly Rudy RULE!! I watch as many western games as possible as it is great hockey. Flames Cannucks tonight, should be good.
  8. Alexander Ovechkin is going to destroy Ottawa!
  9. Dung Churry of Crap Broadcast Corp predicts Ottawa or Boston will beat the Habs. What a first class A-Hole and what an idiot I am for turning that station on for 20 seconds!
  10. hahhahaha everybody has a life but me, nobody posting during the game....
  11. Hahaha I voted Calgary as I like to be different in my predictions. Ah a Flames Habs final rematch would be interesting, however I prefer Avalanche and Habs........
  12. I have nothing to do with anything in this very long thread.
  13. The players???? If you guys keep trying to put out those Flames with hate, it might come back to errrr.. bite yer in da butt. I'm pulling for the Habs and AVS of course. :hlogo:
  14. Really looking forward to Leafies going home for the last time this year with a big L
  15. The problem with Calgary is their fans unreal expectations and are the biggest crybabies on fan boards. They want to sign everybody, however they do not realize they have to have players to compliment their stars. Be glad Vancouver did not get this $5million player as he is less than 1 point a game in his career. (NOt that this is bad) He does get to play on a team with an awesome superstar like Iggy; which inflated his #'s the last three years. Naslund resigning in Vancouver would be a smarter move as you know what you get. I think Calgary will do well in this playoff year, much to my dismay as Calgary fans are already as obnoxious as Leaf fans. They have a solid goalie, a killer defenseman and a superstar up front. Very SOLID core which any GM would drool over. Problem is, when these guys are not on the ice the team is average. Play Iggy 30 minutes per game and they have a great chance of going very deep. Kipper can steal games but has looked ordinary many times this year. Sutters act looks like it is wearing thin too. Normally I dismiss the overrated Flames. However this may be the year Calgary can be a threat to Colorado, San Jose or the Ducks(and the rest). It is that core that impresses me. First round match looks like the Sharks so they will be tested.
  16. That was great. Now I remember some of his post game boring interviews after Kings games many moons ago. I forgot about this.
  17. Ottawa has no goaltending, traded their best defensman (Korvo) who moves the puck out of their end and an offense without Fisher and Alfie. A defense Montreal can skate rings around and Sens just suck this year. Ottawa does not scare me.
  18. I wanted all Ontario teams out to shut up the obnoxious fans of Leafs and Sens. Now the crybaby fans and centralized Ontario sports media will tell us that Senators will crush the East. Oh well, another month of ignoring Ontario sports as the Sens should be out by then.
  19. You and I think alike. (Except your Avatar is better looking ) Dont forget Staal(spelling) on Pittsburg and Gonchar too. Oilers proved all out offense can win, but then they did have stellar goaltending in the Gretzky era.
  20. All I remeber is Heatly and Tucker exchanging Chicken Soup recipes wile in the penalty box. Tucker is one of those guys that needs to be Komisarek'd 3 times a period! :hlogo:
  21. Known as the "Stratford Streak," the "Mitchell Meteor," the "Swift Swiss" and "Babe Ruth of Hockey." In 1950, he was voted Canada's greatest hockey player of the half century. The league's top scorer in 1927-28 and 1930-31, Morenz won the Hart Trophy as most valuable player in 1928, 1931, and 1932. He was traded to Chicago in 1934 and went to the New York Rangers (Boo Boo yup I am Booing) the following season. He was unhappy with both teams, and his performance showed it. Morenz returned to Montreal in 1936. He had scored 20 goals by January 28, 1937, when he collided with another player and suffered four broken bones in his left leg and ankle thus ending his career. Morenz had a nervous breakdown and died of a heart attack in the hospital less than six weeks after the injury. His funeral was held at centre ice in the Montreal Forum before a crowd of 25,000 fans paying their last respects. Morenz scored 273 goals and had 197 assists in 550 regular season games, with 21 goals and 11 assists in 47 playoff games. It is an honour for me to now surpass Howie Morenz (Past Member on Habsworld) post count as it reminded me of one of the greatest Habs ever. Sometimes we forget the greats that laid the foundation for the greatest sports franchise in North American history. (Ok NYY fans will argue with me about this)
  22. Thanks for taking a close look. I saw it on the tube without replay and it was fast and looked clean. alfie was sort of looking down which may of been why a forearm/elbow. Bell is a dirty bugger but the Sens brought it on themselves going after the Toronto young callups in the first period. The Ottawa goons like Neil and the rest of the brain dead started this mess. Of course Mr. Innocent Tucker the Hack was doing his part..... Hopefully Habs don't get beat up by the Toronto hacks trying to impress the brass. The talent level on toronto is very low so they will resort to this to prove something????
  23. I normally do not get into sports heroes as they make so much money that it is hard to relate. I have watched golf two times when my mother was in intensive care in the hospital and had the pleasure of watching Tiger Woods. I like how he handles himself. MJ was one of my favourite NBA players. I never read anything about his personal life as I respected him for his game.
