  1. Bashing player was a tool in the seventees. And they are still in the race for playoffs because the other team stink as much as the habs. In this NHL the dinosaurs are going away and fading away this year more than ever. Hitchcock OUT, Quinn had done a disastrous job in Edmonton. Did they push their kids to get the best of themselves, work on their strenght to win or focus only on the result of a game instead of asking themselves how can we get these guys better. Yeah a system was needed, but for a chance to be a top 1/3 of the league you need a balance of production of cheap young players and costy established players. All we have right now, his average production of established players, no production from the youth from the system and a goalie stopping pucks. This makes a .500 team. Will Martin succeed to develop one NHL er telling him he is AHL stuff this year ot the next, i dunno and i doubt. I sure don't want him to coach Subban.
  2. After Sunday lost, i heard JM say that they (the Dog line) surprised Pittsburg but when they played big men it showed thet were not ready for NHL that they were AHL. I would have hit his fat face, and ripped in on the ground. What a condescendent piece of coach that is. Each individual has to be reinforced with his strenght, not bashed down. If he thinks he has clear sky ahead just because his little friend Gauthier is acting GM just wait how angry fans react when their team doesn't make the playoff.
  3. Gauthier or anyone, first thing is to sign Plekanek before any trade.
  4. Can't do much without good weapons and a bad plan. Kids cannot save their harse every game. Unfortunately the two best shooters are down and we are still in a race for the less pityfull of the worst.
  5. Gionta finally found his legs back. HAbs needed that badly. Gomez, Plekanek are 1a 1ab when they have support from 3-4th line. White belongs to the NHL. There was no depth, suddenly Guy Boucher created some. Lapierre and Metropolit still stinks. Who misses D'Agostini ? See what hungry players can do.
  6. It must be more serious than it is for precaution call ups. Remember they bring back D'Agostini to save a few bucks on the cap. Pouliot the fight against the Ragsé Sergei, came back injured, upper body my guess is the ribs because every time he is hit hard it hurts bad, Plekanek i have no clue he seemed ok.
  7. Why poop on Gomez when he plays PP with Metropolit and Darche ? I have nothing against Darche cuz he does something useful, park in front of the net and follow the play to really block goalie view. But Metropolit come on, he didn't score for a couple of month, bury one and we shall forget his blunders. Markov was so angry of a ridiculous play that Metropolit made on the next PP that he almost broke his stick on the post while the game was on. Lapierre, what a chimp, 4 minutes all he had to do his pressure in the zone not to cross check Bégin between the numbers. Airhead, gutsless, stand tall remove your helmet and visor and put your money where your mouth is. I don't care where he should go but should be send packing.
  8. I'd say the Trashers now have a very good overall defensew ith Oduya, they have a top six winger, possibly a top three. , a very good depth system adding Cormier in the mix + draft picks. And this team has a lot of depth everywhere. And a lot money saved on a player who refused 10 million a year and carried his team once in the playoffs. So congrats to Waddel, getting somenthing for the good of the Trashers organisation. Hossa, Kovalchuk and these punks make me sick, spitting on 10 millions. I hope New-Jersey vs let's say Ottawa in the first round and get kicked off.
  9. My bet would be Colorado for Kovalchuk.
  10. Same shoulder. That Lucic fight affected him mentally and physicly. Burke bought himself a lemon. Speaking of ex habs i would not be surprise to see Ryder move to Toronto for a D.
  11. Maybe we have a chance for Auger to be the referee, then we have a real chance.
  12. JM game plan. For what it's worth here's the crew that will be massacre tonight. Benoit Pouliot - Tomas Plekanec - Sergei Kostitsyn Ben Maxwell - Scott Gomez - Brian Gionta Marc-André Bergeron - Maxim Lapierre - Mathieu Darche Travis Moen - Glen Metropolit - Matt D'Agostini Roman Hamrlik - Josh Gorges Hal Gill - Yannick Weber Andrei Markov - Ryan O'Byrne Halak Canucks line up The Sedins Luongo and some other players to follow and form a team.
  13. If the deal with the Rangers happen expect some Flames winger to be released, Nystrom, Moss, Glencross or Dawes are my guess. I'd welcome any of these pick-up.
  14. A Paccioretty would really need to stay there will be called back ? B D'agostini is in the middle of two weeks conditionning. For money reasons he's back. C Trotter is the best offensive player in Hamilton. I hope but doubt a call up. D White will get the call, Metropolit playing second line :puke:
  15. Look at the bright side we will have a two week break and will cheer for a team with Crosby, Toews and Brodeur to name a few. Cammelleri out is the worst thing that could happen right now. Only guy that can step there would be Trotter and i wish the guy has a chance. And what's with blaming Gomez ?? Did someone triggered Gainey to make that trade ? He is playing like Scott Gomez always did, with a system that doesn't open the ice he cannot use his passing skills, even the Devils system allows more speed and space for the wingers. Come on.
  16. I'd say they will sleep over the decision, wait until the last minute, call up a guy forget to call the league. Take him off the ice after two shifts. Play 19 players, lose the game. Or go in Florida with no back up, play 19 lose again.
  17. Jokinen and Jacques Martin, not a good match. Only solution is cheap lateral moves, like Latendresse-Pouliot. Players who underperform somewhere else that could blossom here and underperformer here to blossom somewhere else. Brassard is not performing well this year. A change of scenery would be good for him. :hlogo:
  18. Maxwell was brought in for a center job evaluation in 2010-11. He did not came out with an attitude, he just mould to the group. The fact that Plekanek is not signed for next year, that Metropolit is what he is, that Lapierre has an off season that brings doubts... It looks pretty shallow at center for a long while, so i think we are stuck with Maxwell for a while. And a future that looks awfully dull.
  19. He would be ready to play for a good team. The Dogs are good, they win he is avoiding all the bs we see right now. Consider him a ultimate spark plug and consider the habs a Huyndai Accent 2004 engine. It won't make the engine run faster and it will burn the spark.
  20. 1 point but 3 to 4 games in hand for the team behind Montreal. They did not act as a team in this trip, i do not like what i've seen from the players. Selfish, no hustling, weak, slow is what i saw. Downie just destroyed Gorges and tried to pass over him a couple of time, when is the last time a Montreal forward as done that ?? Tampa and Florida D had their game plan knowing that no habs will rush the center of the zone, they play perimeter. Is it Martin fault, i can't tell, but with no captain, his decision, he has to assume all the leadership.
  21. There is a couple of grain of salt lately. Some players are frustrated and they turn on each other. I start worrying when Laraque said that was one of the best group of players he played with and we all know that Laraque is the king of misjudgments. Gomez vsSergei Cammalleri vs Lapierre, Moen vs Metropolit, now Price vs Markov. Am i missing some ?? Probably the next player that Price will stare at after a lucky bounce goal...i'd like to see that schlak in the mask.
  22. Pathetic but not only for the result a game lost in regulation. Pathetic because the way they played the whole game. - Played fancy with the puck all night, never took the body. - No shots on goal for 12 minutes against the Panthers. - The coach gave them a day off in Florida, see what it gives. - Speaking of that break, that was a dum dum decision. - Metropolit, Lapierre, Gill, Gionta, Spacek were the worst players out there.
  23. Metropolit actually did one good thing for Moen he got him angry, and if that could show on the ice so he has puck support whe he wins his battle it could help in to chip some goals from the third line. Paccioretti had very poor control of the puck on puck recovery, he always wanted to get rid of the puck instead of taking his speed to create a play. The meanest winger that could play with Moen would be Sergei. And to everybody search Markov.
  24. Ouch it must hurt to be Brett Favre today, every bone, articulation must hurt as hell without the relief of victory. Just a thought for the guy, and this time retire for real and for good.
  25. If they send down Paccioretti they need to show another Timmins prospect. Maxwell is the one, i think they realised that he was not 2th line stuff and developped him as a third liner in Hamilton this year. What i have seen from him and like his anticipation and speed and defensive awareness. He has no real offensive weapon but still a lot more than Pyatt as. Anyway Sergei is on for the next game if i a not mistaken line should be Gionta-Gomez-Pouliot Sergei K - Plek- Cammelleri Moen- Lapierre-Darche Maxwell-Metropolit-Bergeron
