I just want to see see two basic rules. First and foremost I don't want to see darche, Moen and enquist on the top 3 lines. Secomdly, I want our top 3 centers to be pleks, Eller and Gomez. I think as long as the penguin would stick with these two rules I can live with his line combos - although I do have my preferences. But given that damn penguins track record, I think we are going to see darche and Moen on the two top lines and the PP. If the penguin continues to use Cole the way he has up to now, Cole will be a bigger bust in Montreal then he was in Edmonton. You don't sign a guy to the type of deal the Habs signed him to and then use him they way they are using him. I just don't get bow the penguin is called a defensive coach when they give away the puck so much and can only win if the goalie stands on his head and the team scores on the PP. 5 on 5 this team has sucked for the past two years and thus year looks to be no different. I guess this will be the third year in a row where I'm going to be complaining about the damn Penquin!!!!!

Just got back from the office -friggin 3 hour time difference on the west coast! i'm stuck here in vancouver for work. HOtel doesn't have RDS, is there any other option to watch the game in BC??? I can't believe TSN isn't carrying this. Although it looks like i'd be pissed off while watching this anyways.

Well, looks like we lost Cammy and will be getting Eller back next game - I got a feeling, we are going to see a lot of that again this year I know that, but i still think the incriminating photos sounds more rationale then blindly sticking with the vets

Gomez's issue is that he is still making the predictable play when gaining the zone, still not driving to the net - did it for a few shifts and is still taking stupid soft penalties. It doesn't just affect him, he is also dragging MaxPac down. I don't MaxPac to go 4-5 games without a goal. This is a big year for him and he needs to get off to a good start. I really think having two big wingers on a line, like AK46 and MaxPac would make it tougher. And MaxPac Scores!!!!! that was an important goal - and without any help from Gomer.

frankly, I wish Spacek was serious. I didn't want him back this year and if he is hurt, at least Martin will be forced to play the kids. The two guys who really are taking up cap space and ice time away from others are Spacek and Gomez.

Payback penalty for the non-call on Price and Weber shows why he belongs on the PP. Don't know why he isn't teamed with Subban. anyone tell me why Gomez continues to get a free pass from Martin. Took a dumb penalty last game, no consequences. Took a dumb penalty tonight, luckily Pleks scored a beautiful SH goal!! But come on, i haven't seen anything different from Gomez this year, still also taking stupid penalties, yet he continues to get free passes from Martin, while as usual, AK46 played a good game against the leafs, gets called on an iffy penalty and was benched. tonight, AK46 setup Maxpac nicely, yet he is saddled with Darche. Why not have Desharnais, centre MacPac and Ak46. I was hoping Gomez was going to be better, but it doesn't look like it.

So we get Cole, have AK46 and Maxpac and the penguin has got Darche on the PP?????

+1 I really don't know why weber or Diaz aren't out there with Subban.

That's been the norm throughout his career. Great performances followed by stinkers. There was a reason that despite getting the seal of approval from Roy after he retired, that Budaj failed in Colorado as a starter. The only thing consistent about him has been his inconsistency.

I've seen too much of Budaj play against Calgary to have any confidence that he is going to be much better of an upgrade over Abiesher. I think he is better then then aby, but not much. You would think after the Roy trade, the habs would have had enough of ex-Colorado goalies!!!!

If Trotter has been waived, I could see Winnipeg claiming him. Didn't realize there was anything serious with Subban. If both Markov AND Subban are out for any extended period, we are screwed.

who's Bob Mac??? Do you mean bob mckenzie?? I really wish the habs would give Weber and Diaz a chance and move Spacek. That would save cap room for a scorer later on. I think this is an okay signing, would have preferred a net clearing physically imposing Dman. Campoli kind of looks like a lot of what we have in the pipeline (weber, Diaz), and it would have been great if we picked up more depth on the blueline that was phyisically imposing (Yemelin should help). Having said that $1.75M and 1 year is not too much of a commitment.

if the hit wasn't by shelly and was Briere, i doubt it would have been 5 and 5. The other suspension was also to a no name. Until I see a name player like Chara suspended, I'm not sold that there will be much of a difference. BTW, Shanny was asked about the Chara hit last year and he didn't think it was a dirty hit.

Maxpac also complained last year before being called up.

Doughty would have to be $7m+ and even then I think the kings would match. With Subban I think the chance of him getting an RFA offer are actually higher if only has an okay year rather then a great year.

Either would I - I think Subban is going to be a Norris contender and better then Chelios was. I also think maxpac may finally become the power forward we have lacked since giving away Leclair.

If he scores 20 goals and gets 45 points, someone will be willing to throw over $5m at him. He will be an RFA though.

Why would Winnipeg want a guy just drafted, who is 2-3 years away in exchange for the #3 pick (behind Stamkos and Doughty), from the 2008 draft. Bogasian is a stud defenseman who was rushed in and mishandled by Atlanta. I see him turning things around in a big way with the change in management. In the few Atlanta games I've seen, Bogasian looked very good. If I was the GM in Atlanta, there is no way in hell I'd move him and the only guy from Montreal I'd consider moving him for is Subban or possibly MaxPac+.
