  1. Mr. Tom Pyatt. Those clues helped quite a bit. Still missing a 95. Can't think of that one.
  2. You can scratch Gabriel Bourque off your list as he signed a PTO with the Avs tonight. Guess they really want a Bourque on their team as they gave Rene a PTO last week. It worked out for them the last time they tried it when they picked up Ray Bourque and won the cup.
  3. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/max-pacioretty-p-k-subban-trade-shea-weber-montreal-canadiens-nashville-predators-captain/ Interview with Patches and he discusses the Subban trade a bit. To me this puts to end any rumours of the two players hating each other. You don't call Subban 5 minutes after the trade if you don't like the guy.
  4. Haha seeing that name on the suggestions would definitely irk Bergevin. I saw someone suggest a name of the Maroons or Wanderers. Though I really like that idea of playing off that history I don't think that would fly in Laval as both those teams were created for the English speaking residents of Montreal. Though St. John's knew of this from the beginning, I still feel bad for them. Hopefully they can find someone else to play in their arena.
  5. Wonder how Weber is gonna like getting booed in Montreal. He doesn't have a NTC or a NMC so that leaves us a tiny flexibility. What's next? I hear Yakupov is available. We can send Galchenyuk for him. Doesn't sound out of the realm anymore with Bergevin
  6. Man almost makes me want to cry. I can't look back on these memories quite yet
  7. So we get three years older in the deal to save just over a million but paying for longer term. How did Molson let this go through?????? Subban is a huge marketable player and has already given back so much to the Montreal community. Bergevin is an idiot. There is no upside to this trade
  8. I've now officially lost faith in Bergevin. Habs lose this trade no doubt
  9. I can't see them trading him if he's available to play for them. The Spits should be in a win now mode as they are hosting the Memorial cup this year. They had 3 drafted in the first round this year (Stanley and Brown) so should be a decent team. I'll have to head to a few games this year if I get a chance.
  10. Renaud Lavoie is reporting that Gabriel Dumont won't be back next season. He wants to try a new path with another NHL team. Not good for the IceCaps but completely understandable. Wish him the best.
  11. Ya I'm happy with it. Probably the best player available at that time based on the rankings. He went through a lot this year in Flint. Said to have lots of character
  12. That's a shocker. Edmonton could get quite a bit more for their pick now if they wanted
  13. And it's been reported he wants 4.5 millionHopefully the this isn't Bergevin's solution to our top 6 problem. The cost that we'll be paying him appears to be.
  14. Hate that trade. Shaw wants so much money
  15. I would be happy with that if they could get him for cheap. Play him at left wing on the second line. Still would need to sign a top right winger like Okposo but Vanek at the right price would be good.
  16. That would leave Beaulieu exposed in the expansion draft though unless we switched to just protecting 8 skaters and a goalie. He would definitely be taken if left exposed.
  17. Leafs acquire Frederik Anderson for the 30th pick this year and a 2017 2nd round pick. The Leafs then signed him to a five year extension but the details of that aren't out yet. http://www.tsn.ca/leafs-acquire-g-andersen-from-ducks-for-picks-1.511624 A great return for Anaheim considering they could of lost him for nothing in the expansion draft. The first of many moves teams will make in preparation for it. Also Florida acquires Keith Yandle and now have to find a way to sign him. 6th round pick and a conditional 4th (if they sign him).
  18. Strombo is on a five-year deal so it makes sense financially for him to stay around. Agreed that his interview skills are top notch and they should work that into the show in some way. The second intermission in my opinion is something that needs work. Maybe give him a slot there. Wish they never got rid of the hot stove as I quite enjoyed it. The interviews that MacLean made quite interesting were when he would interview Gary Bettman. MacLean was great at getting under his skin and actually led to Bettman boycotting CBC. Could be a reason behind MacLean being replaced in the first place.
  19. Though not a commentator its looks like George Stroumboulopoulos wont be back as Host of HNIC next year and will be replaced by former host Ron MacLean. https://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/2016/06/19/ron-maclean-to-replace-strombo-on-hockey-night-in-canada-feschuk.html I like the move as Strombo never felt right in the position and I always felt like MacLean got shafted in the whole Rogers takeover.
  20. Other reasons could be that its closer to his hometown of Kingston and he has a daughter that is attending McGill.
  21. Agree 100%. To me they look like an Olympic Jersey. Don't like them at all.
  22. Really like the hire. Never wanted Muller to leave back in the day but understood he needed the opportunity. The Habs now have someone who can take over if need be. Good to have but maybe not greatest news for Therrien.
  23. Darn. Now all the hype will be the Leafs.
  24. At least we didn't fall. Please have the Leafs come in at #3 now. Don't need them winning this. Either way they get a good player.
  25. Tomorrow at 7pm get to watch second round action and then at 10pm game seven of the first round. So weird to be starting the second round before the first round is even over. Happens in the NBA but I can't remember it happening in the NHL. Hopefully the second round has a great series like that Chicago/St. Louis one. Was very entertaining hockey and close.
