  1. Anybody know when he'll be in the lineup? I saw him play a bunch as a junior and he was fantastic, so I am excited about him being a Canadien!!!
  2. I think we need to take it a little easy on Laps. He's not in his usual roll so he looks a little out of place, but he still plays every shift with heart. He needs to be put back on the third line so that he can be himself. AKost - Pleks - Pacs Camms - Gomez - Moen Lats - Laps - R.White
  3. I was in Nashville at the game tonight, and all I can say is BRUTAL!!! We looked slower, we looked uniterested, and some of our guys just didn't want to compete. I mean, I know we're not amongst the elite teams in the NHL right now, but this was Nashville. I mean, NASHVILLE. We gave up over 50 shots to a poor team that outplayed us in every aspect of the game besides goal. If not for Price this game would have been 8-0. Time for a trade, and it's gonna have to include one of our young goalies... Halak or Price. Go get some young help at forward. I'm seriously gonna hope we finish last in the league, go draft Taylor Hall.
  4. Yup, looking forward to one good year of BGL. He'll do well under Martin, so I am excite to have him on a 4th line with Metro and ?????
  5. Lineup is set. I really believe that Bob is just gonna leave things the way they are and see how things shape up in training camp. I would be shocked to see us involved in any trade with Ottawa. And I really don't think Bob is willing to pay too high of a price for one year of Marleau. SO, I'm guessing we go in looking like... Gionta - Gomez - A.Kost Camms - Pleks - S.Kost/Pax Moen - Laps - Lats Laraque - Metro - S.Kost/Pax Markov - Mara Spacek - Hammer Gorges - Gill O'Byrne
  6. I've been tossing this one around for a couple hours, and the more I think about it, the more I realize Cheechoo isn't a great fit. I just don't see him thriving in Martin's system. But then I think he'd be an upgrade over S.Kost on the 2nd line, so I guess it comes down to the price. If we can get him for Dags and a prospect or something similar, then I am all for it. But if it is going to cost us too much, then forget it. I like the idea of getting Frolov though... players who actually like their linemates and produce with them... that'd be a nice change!
  7. I like the idea of the Habs getting Marleau, but considering it'll likely be for one year --- IT BETTER NOT cost us Subban or A.Kost!
  8. Signs with Carolina. He was a decent player. We'll miss ya a little.
  9. I would LOVE for them to bring Tangs back to play with AKost. Got too many players now though.
  10. They were good for us, but I think Bob is trying to bring in players that will be GREAT for us.
  11. Would love for the Habs to grab Marleau, but not at a ridiculous cost. Halak, Pleks, and a prospect? Although as stated before, I think Pleks will have a HUGE year for us.
  12. What makes the Habs glorious is their rich tradition and devotion of the fans. That is why when they go on road trips most places they play are sold out. And why is a Sens writer writing this when A) We're the last Canadian team to bring Stanley home and B) His Sens are smack in the middle or mediocrity and C) Out of all the Candadian teams we're bette off than most of them. And Gomez, Camms, Gionta, Spacek, and Moan are HUGE upgrades over Koivu, Tangs, Kovalev, Komi, and Kostopolous because the 2nd group had no heart, no chemistry, and didn't take the team anywhere close to the cup.
  13. Keep him, for sure. I think with the new system and new face to the team he'll be a whole lot better. I think he was frustrated by the lack of passion from some players so he kind of floated. He'll be fine this year!
  14. So, I was wondering... what are the lines now?????? Camms - Gomez - Gionta A.Kost - Pleks - S.Kost Moen - Laps - Lats Laraque - Metro - Pacioretty?? (I would rather have him play than Stewart.)
  15. I think what Camms is trying to say is NOT that he isn't going to get caught, but more importantly that he will not be out clubbing. He'll be focused on hockey. Something this team lacked last year...
  16. Agree! Can't wait to see him in Sept. I think he is Camms are gonna light it up, but I am expecting REALLY big things from Gomes!
  17. He'll probably play well against us for 4 games considering he takes about 50% of them off. Not worried, we'll be fine. I still think Gainey has something brewing.
  18. Well, with no Kovalev coming back really have to wonder who is going to be the Captain. Lineup should be... Camms - Gomez - Gionta Pax - Pleks - Akost SKost - Laps - Lats Larque - Metro - Dagostini/Stewart
  19. What bubble? Me thinks the first line will be great together and that their speed will lead to lots of PowerPlays. I also think that teams will focus on the #1 line leaving AK to have a huge year.
  20. Gomez 32 Goals, 75 assists Camms 48 Goals, 45 Assists Gionta 41 Goals, 51 Assists A. Kost 50 Goals, 39 Assists
  21. hahahahahah.. brutal, but awesome!
  22. I think now it may be best to just give it to Lapierre. He plays with heart. Markov would seem like the logical choice but he seems to be too quiet.
  23. Faster. More Talented. Less Drama. Guys who will work hard every game. Um, yeah.. we got a WHOLE lot better.
  24. I like... Camms - Gomez - Gionta A.Kost - Pleks - Kovalev S.Kost - Lapierre - Pacioretty Lats - Metro - Laraque Markov Beauch Hammer Spacek Gorges Gil Weber Price
  25. Just confirmed, Bob offered Mike $4m a year. When Toronto made it 4.5 Mike wanted $5m from Montreal due to the taxes and Montreal said no. KOmi at $5m is too much!
