We got two home games against Atlanta and Tampa, while Florida plays at home to Carolina, then at Buffalo and at Philly. If we dont make some room by the end of Thursday night... we's in trouble!

While Halak played decently over a few games, he is NOT going to win us a round in the playoffs! The only way this team is going to do anything is if the Price of old returns... I'm not knocking Halak, because I love what he did for us before, but he is not an elite goalie. And I know Price is not right now either, but he can be. Bob needs to tell him and the fans that we are going to win or lose with Carey. And PLEASE... Call up S.Kostitsyn. Andrei hasn't been the same since he left!

YES it would work. Kovalev can finish, and Tangs can finish, And koivu IS FINNISH. hahaha Lame joke, I know. But I think they would mesh well. It isn't hard to finish if the right guys are working together to create chances.

Well, a point is a point. With Buffalo and Florida losing it is actually a pretty big point! Like I said long ago, Habs just gotta get healthy and get the right players in the lineup. Lats played a solid game, but we need Tangs out there with Koivu. I thought Dags and Pacs were good as well, so I think a lineup like this might suffice... Tangs-Koivu-Kovalev S.Kost-Pleks-A.Kost Lats-Laps-Higgins Dags-Pacs-Stewart (Let the Kids play, they give it 100% all night) We could sub in Kosty and Metropolit. They just dont fit into the system right now!

Habs will be fine when the get healthy. Having Tangs and Lats back in the lineup is going to do wonders for this team. We will get into the playoffs and then it is anybodys game! Too much negativity coming from this board. We have a good team. Once the playoffs get here everything is going to be great. I wonder if we have seen the last of S.KOst this year. I hope not. I think he could be a major contributor if he was paired up right. C'mon now... whoever said what Montreal needs is a top 2 centre is absolutely RIGHT! We dont need a scoring winger like Selenne. If Sundin wants to take his time then let him. And if he goes elsewhere I don't think Montreal should spend the money just because they have it. Wait for a team to tank and look to be sellers, and then trade for a Centre. Keep the cap space and wait. And we certainly do not want to trade a bunch of our better prospects for somebody to come in and play one year. Montreal is going to be competitve for years to come. Lets not jeopardize that by going after "the guy" when our team is good enough to win it!

Sounds like (according to EK so don't hold your breath...) that the Habs might try to get O'Sullivan from the Kings. I think it would be a great trade if we could get rid of a couple role players and a prospect. Then we sign Selenne????? Say... Begin, Dandy, and a prospect/pick. Imagine... Gotta disagree... sorry. It's Sundin or bust! I wouldn't mind seeing a trade involvng a coupe role players and a prospect for a good two way player (Patrick O'Sullivan from the Kings is a rumor??)... That might clear up some more cap space and let our players know who is going to be in the lineup. As far as Fedorov, I think S.Kost will be fine on the point on the PP or even Kovalev and have Tanguay up front. By making a trade with more $$ going back the other way, it might free up enough to (dreaming) get Selenne and Sundin!!! CheerS!

Just looking over the depth chart, man it's going to be tough to tell some players they'll be in the press box... Here's how I like it, but I'm sure it'll get criticized!!! Tanguay - Koivu - S.Kost Kovalev - Pleks - A.Kost Latendresse - Higgins - Laraque Begin - Chipchura - Lapierre/Kostopolous Higgins at Centre is kind of scary but that line would be fun to watch. I def see a trade coming. Maybe Chips or Laps with some other prospect.

Couldn't agree more. Rolston at that price over 4 years would suck. Sign Sundin to the max this year, and go and bring Stanley home.

Hopefully the Habs dont throw money at Hossa. Anything over 6 mill a year is ridiculous, so to hear he is going to get 9... man I hope Gainey stays away form that. Rolston would be a sweet addition but my heart still hopes for Sundin. IF we cant get them at forward then maybe sign a DMan (Cams or Redden) just to be deep and extremely hard to play against. Just my two cents...

PLEASE put Ryder back in. PLEASE! I will personally guarentee a goal from Ryder if he plays!!! Again, the Habs lineup does not reflect the one that got them to the top of the East. And it has to be Price. HAS TO BE. This kid is amazing, and yes he had a bad game, but he'll shut the lights out!

I think Ryder and Lats should both play, sit Dandy and either Streit or Lapierre. Don't get me wrong, I love Laps and Streit, but it seems like a better match up to have our scorers out there against a slow Philly defence. (Maybe even put Streit on the blueline...) Something like this...
