  1. Great work guys. Yes I was feeling a bit lost even for the short time that you were down. What would I ddo without HW? But... nhl to Chl rookie?? the rookie part hurts at my age
  2. I would like to see Huet play more than 2 games before we consider him as a possible starter. There must be a reason that LA gave up on him. As far as trading Kovy for Thornton: get to the exorcist you've been possessed by the same evil spirt that used to haunt Houle:puke:
  3. JLP, Make the tea, make the (expletive deleted) tea:ghg:

    Dumbest Poll Ever

I told you to make the tea. Why did you wait so long?
  5. See, JLP, I TOLD you to make the (expletive deleted) tea!!! (PMAC shamelessly lobbies for the title Official HW Nostodamus ) Thank God, now I want a winning streak:ghg:
  6. We need a win. C'mon Habs dig team and win for yourselves and your injured teammates:ghg::ghg::ghg:

    Dumbest Poll Ever

Theo's out, Plex is out, Koivu is still hurting, but may play....Make the (expletive deleted) tea already!
  8. It would be interesting to see what Nj's actually payroll, not Cap, is. They are already paying Oliwa big bucks to play in the AHL and now McGillis. Hard to belive that this is penny-pinching Lamerillo. You have to think that the owners do not like the situation.
  9. My vote goes to Rick Moffat and Murray Wilson of CJAD:clap:
  10. KTC: your reply to Bullis was waaay out of line. Just because he disagrees with you or if he misunderstood a post, is no reason for a nasty personal attack. :nono: You claim that your experience gives you more hockey knowledge. If you are older and wiser you should also know better behaviour [Edited on 2005/12/17 by PMAC]
  11. Ch_nl: When Gainey sent Inglina to the Flames for JN everyone was bashing the Flames for giving up an excellent scorer for nobody in a salary dump. Plus JN helped Dallas win the Stanley Cup. PS: BG traded Slyvain Blouin, a career AHL'er with very little talent for Vydareny, who at that point still had potential. Not a great trade, but not bad considering that SB had about as much chance of playing for the :hlogo: as me. My point is it had the potential of working out well
  12. Word is that Therrien is first in line to replace Eddie O in Pittsburgh. Damn, We're too late.....to the time machine!
  13. I thought that I agreed with this idea already, but I don't see my post. Anyway, I love the idea. Sign me up. Maybe we could add a line about how much we appreciate him leaving Bob and his crew alone to build the team
  14. Way to go Kyle! From Bob McKenzie on TSN.ca Where will the leadership come from for the Canadian junior Team? Canada will have a very young team at the World Junior Championship. A considerable portion of the roster will be 1987 births, or 18-year-olds in junior hockey vernacular. That means the handful of 19-year-olds will be critical to Canada's success. One of those guys is a first round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, Kyle Chipchura. He's not the slickest offensive guy, but Chipchura is going to make this team and he'll make it based on his strong two-way game, plus some strong leadership and character traits. He will play a top defensive role and I think there's a good chance he will be named team captain.
  15. You should have heard the Phoneix? announcers on the Fox broadcast trying to cheer for the Coyotes while their team was getting beaten all over the ice:puke: But, for the first time in 2 years I saw the Habs play:clap:
  16. He might be a jerk -- And I can't believe that I'm going to say this --- but I wish him the best. Except against the Habs. I mean the guy has suffered a lot, having Bobby Clarke as a boss must suck, and he has continued to try to play which tells me he must really love the game.
  17. I hope they stay where they are because I hate it when franchises leave. That said Hamilton or Winnipeg would be obvious choices which is why the big brains in the NHL are said to be in favor of Houston :puke::nono::nono:
  18. I agree with DHF, its more difficult when you're in a country where there is little or no coverage. Nobody here(except other expats) cares about hockey. That said, I got to see some of MTL PHO last night, but due to the excretable Fox sports getting the schedule wrong i missed the first period.(I know the best part) It really pisses me off because everytime they promise to show s.t. i want to see (CFL playoffs, MTL) the tv listings are wrong:nono: BTW, unless HNIC has declined way beyond their customary lows, they are still a hell of a lot better than those American commentators like Darren Pang. Thank God for Habs WORLD
  19. I wish I could comment on what it was like to watch. @^%$!!**()@^^^!!!!!!! Fox Sports middle East actually had the game listed and I was really looking forward to it because I see about one game a year and the (expletives deleted) didnt show it:nono::puke:
  20. Thanks, DHF. It's good to know that someone appreciates me;)
  21. I didnt like the Hossa trade at the time, but if Garth Murray is a player I will be the first admit I was wrong and I will be happy, nay ecstatic, to be wrong. However, not liking one trade does NOT make me anti-Gainey. I like almost every move he has made, love his coolness under pressure, his ability to stick to his plan and his wisdom in giving a coach he really didnt know well a chance (when he had a former team-mate in the system). He's not perfect, but I don't know of anyone I'd rather have in charge of my beloved Canadiens right now. I wish people on this board would stop trying to sub-categorize us into pro-this and anti- that, etcetera. We are Habs fans united by a passion for the greatest sports team on the planet--- even if some of us (including me)are sometimes a little too critical of the team and impatient when they lose.:ghg::ghg::ghg::ghg:
  22. My first response to this thread is; " you must be joking". Secondly, I think that you will find that Shock! Surprise! our offensive production will come back once Koivu and Kovalev are back. If you take any team in the league and remove their two best offensive forwards, their offense is going to drop. People keep comparing us to Buffalo, but the only difference between the two teams is that Biron has risen to the occaision and is carrying the team. They havent been scoring much, but they are giving up less. Patience folks. Its a long season. The team will be fine...everybody just seems to have really raised their expectations after our hot start.
  23. PB: It doesnt appear to me that starting the Boston series on the 4th line had any lasting ill effects on Kovalev's perforamcence. Obviously, if he didnt like the coach he would not have come back
  24. I agree with much of your post, but I disagree with a couple of your choices for players we can live without: 1. Dandenault- he is a solid defender who can capably fill in at forward when the need arises. That kind of versatility is invaluable in the salary- capped NHL. 2. Bonk: the man has been hobbled by a groin injury most of the year, so I think we should see him healthy before evaluating his performance. I've never had a groin injury thank God(knock on wood) but the worst injury I've ever had was a pulled hamstring. Nothing: broken nose, broken wriist, fractured collar bone, broken thumbs, strained knee ligaments, partially torn rotator cuff or separated shoulder bothered me more than that, limited my movement more or took longer to recover from. Muscle tears are murder. You think that you are healed, it feels great and then as soon as you go at full speed for any length of time AAARGH there it goes again. Therefore, I have full sympathy for Bonk because I have also suffered through the agony of trying to keep playing(many, even most of us probably have). On a related note: I sure hope Saku is completely good to go because as I said, those muscle tears are a bitch.
  25. C'mon guys lighten up. I think we all got a liitttle spoiled when they won all those games to start the season. Every young team goes through difficult periods. The team will be fine. That said it would be a good time for Theo to steal a game for us
