Avalanche acquire Bacashihua from Blues
Prime Minister Koivu replied to InsaneHABSfan's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
You must be joking right? Theo will either sign somewhere as a back up for 600k or he will go to Europe/Russia. -

The test is this Saturday afternoon on CBC. I can't remember the last time we won an afternoon game. -

Price has been great and so has Thomas. Koivu has not looked good tonight. Higgins is just a beast. Ryder is.... Hamrlik is awesome. Plekanec and Kostitsyn are great together. I really don't see a need/future for Grabovski here. Carbo has really grown over the last few games. Mcguire talks about Price like he wants to fellate him. It is as bad as Bob Cole with Sundin. We win, WOOHOO. -
Jetsniper has made some excellent suggestions. Everything he said is right on. Whatever system you get (I'm an Xbox 360 man myself), check out Call of duty 4. It is nothing short of amazing.

Are you happy or unhappy with...
Prime Minister Koivu replied to Nilan25's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
I agree that smoke needs some slack. The guy has been in almost every forward line and position. He may not score much but he plays 100% and doesn't complain. I really like him. -

I am ecstatic with Hamrlik and Koivu. I am not displeased but not happy with Latendresse, Grabovski and Carbo's defensive shell in the third when we have the lead (like last night). I am happy with everyone else. Special mention to Gorges who has played great. If Higgins ever starts getting some bounces, watch out. -

I thought Gorges was excellent last night. He passes well, skates well, his positioning is good. He even had some PK time. Give this kid some time and I think he can be a very reliable #5. -

I was so nervous for the entire third period. Single man fore check and total defensive shell. I'm glad it is over! Huet rebounded nicely, he made some killer saves. Great teamwork the last few games. If we keep this up we are going to make the playoffs for sure. Great job by Carbo in getting these guys to play hard. -

What an incredible set up, move and goal. WOW -
He just looks so scared out there. Scared to take the big hit, scared to drive to the net, scared to make a mistake, scared to take a chance in the offensive zone, scared to check and play hard in the corners, scared that he might take a penalty. He is playing scared instead of with confidence. AHL time with less talented opponents and far less pressure would really help him.

Huet always sucks against the leafe for some reason. Having said that, I think Huet has looked shaky his last 3 starts. Better period overall. the Habs are at least in this game. Higgins is so F-ing dangerous. It is seriously just a matter of time till he explodes. Ryder is working very hard and I don't think he should be benched. I do think he might benefit from some third line duty though. Perhaps switching him and Kostitsyn for a while. Go :hlogo: Go

Spector adds today: "What Pedneault said is as follows: We can pretty well assume Carey Price was going to be the future No1 goalie in Montreal. Halak is in a position that if he didn't want to play in the AHL, he could ask for a trade to another team or has the option of playing in Russia. Either option was possible. Pedneault mentioned that the Canadiens wouldn't get much in a trade even if they did trade him. I remember it clearly because it made me chuckle how Pedneault was going out of his way not to say "has requested". Perhaps "Dominic" mistranslated "repeated" for "confirmed"? Again, there was no confirmation of a trade request.

Do You Believe?
Prime Minister Koivu replied to The Chicoutimi Cucumber's topic in Habs & Hockey Talk
The Habs started last year much the same as this year. If we can avoid a two month loosing streak like we have done the past two seasons then we are looking at some serious points. I think we can finish with 110 points but let's wait and see if the "flu bug" strikes again.
