On top of that, after losing Parise - they're going to trade their second best forward in Clarkson?! While we're at it, let's offer them Stephane Richer as well!

Wow, this is unbelievable. I've heard stories that there's bad blood between the Molson's and Robinson and this story seems to support it. If the Habs hired Therrien because of his "experience with the organization and his ability to develop young players", then how the hell do you not hire Robinson? What... The... ######..?

Maybe I'm too much of a pessimist, but no team on earth will take Gomez & Gionta (cap hit $13M) in a trade. They're simply too expensive for players in their decline. My take is Gomez goes to Hamilton (or Europe) and Gionta finishes the year on the third line OR gets traded at the deadline.

Mueller could be an interesting fit, if he moves to the wing. At 6'2, 205 lbs he would certainly create room on a line with Plex and Gionta. I'm guessing he would cost $2M?

What if the Habs went after guys like Knuble, Rolston or Holmstrom as stop gaps for this year? Neither of them would be expensive and could fill in on the second line, no? I also see Angelo Esposito is available. What happened to this guy? I remember reading that Montreal was interested in him back when they drafted Pacioretty. Is he done?

I like this lineup and agree that Leblanc and Geoffrion should start the year in Hamilton. No need to rush them at this point.

I think Leblanc and Palushaj need to spend the year in Hamilton. Geoffrion too. However, injuries may force MB's hand. What about signing Brian Rolston? He may still have something left... Extra's in the press box would be Nokia and Blunden. With 8 D currently under contract, a trade is definitely coming.

Since Jagr ain't coming, I would go with this at forward: Pacioretty / Desharnais / Cole PLUG / Plekanec / Gionta Bourque / Eller / Moen Prust / White / Armstrong Obviously a trade is in the works that will likely include Gomez/Weber and maybe picks/prospects for a LW. If that happens, then insert Geoffrion on the 3rd line.

Whenever I watch an NHL draft I always think of Ryan McDonagh and how Bob Gainey threw him into the Gomez trade. That is going to sting for years. I am happy with Galchenyuk. Best prospect in the draft. Habs can build their team around him.

I think he's worth the risk. Play him with Eller & Bourque and see if he finds his game again. He'd also be good insurance if somebody gets hurt, provided it's not him of course

What about Kaberle for Komisarek straight up? We'd get our toughness back (clear the front of the net) & Komi is cheaper. He could play with Markov again. Just don't ask him to fight Lucic.

Heard on TSN that Jaromir Jagr is going to test free agency on Jul. 1st. Call me crazy but I think Bergevin will take a run at him to play on the second line with Plekanec and Gionta. What does everybody think? Sign Jagr to a one year deal? Is he worth the $3M he'll likely get?

Hopefully Therrien hires Larry Robinson as an assistant, we need somebody in this new management regime who can speak proper English... LOL!

Who cares what the Calgary papers say about Bourque? A change of scenery can change a payer's career/perspective. The jury is still out on him in Montreal, let's see how he finishes the year and then judge. As for Kostitsyn, his time has run out. He's being shopped and won't be a Hab by next week. Hab29Retired is going to need a new favorite player... Oh, and I think he wants Desharnais playing on the wing.

Wow, I couldn't disagree more. I think Bourque is here to stay, Kostitsyn has worn out his welcome. I'd be very surprised if he's a Hab come Saturday. I'm guessing we get a 2nd rounder and a prospect in return.
