Which is where Buff played for the Jets yesterday and looked like a big freight trail and was tossing Hawks around in the corners and front of net, he simply is a beast when he wants to be. Which is what intrigues me, he would instantly change look of lineup for next few years and $5.2m isn't a huge salary neither. and yes I know it aint happening, but wouldn't break my heart if did.

I was thinking a Alex Henry-type on back end might also help. I did notice renewal notice on website and thought was odd timing? Tinordi will never be a sniper and didn't sound like Mayer was at fault and Dumonts dumb penalty was turned into a key PP goal (for the Wolves who are worst PP team in AHL). Too bad they played a tired game with few shots at home, after a very entertaining one on road yesterday.

Subban's short benching already been beat to friggin death and many would of done exact same thing, I would of (splittin hairs on smart/dumb choice). Ovechkin didn't score vs Murray so your point is? That it was good choice by JJD to match em up? You do know the coach is simply followed Bergevin's direction as to what kind of team he wants to see, a more "gritty" or grinding/blue collar team. I haven't seen much of 24CH and think is a bit goofy. Should a $1.5m depth 100% strictly defensive d-man be playing 18-20+ minutes, not a chance, but when 2 of top 4 d-men simply suck at the moment, your options are limited. And if you are looking at blaming Murray for slump or bad team play, a bit odd choice I think. He is what he is and like I have said before, he provides more entertainment than most (both good and bad) and still think a good signing and would re up him for another year at $1.5 for sure. And if you don't like Murray nor Therrien you will have a long time to complain, as neither is going anywhere anytime soon. Which is fine by me.

Vail with 3a today and now 7th in OHL scoring with 65pts.
-
Ellis went for hit and the guy ducked and Ellis went head/ facefirst into boards. Well I guess will drop out of playoff spot? were on the bubble before the game I think.
-
He already has 40points and offense/skill is what Habs need to upgrade on. Next year (or Marchs') d-core could be; Subban-Byfuglien Gorges-Beaulieu Tinordi-Emelin Murray (yes I would resign him)
-
Ya, I know and just sticking up for the big fellow (and any d-man beat on a 2 on 1) That was Murray's only -1 for the game also, unlike some other d-men. Why he keeps getting tossed under the bus as a terrible signing/player/ etc etc, he is not causing team to lose nor overpaid nor lazy? He is being exactly as Bergevin described him and why he signed him in the 1st place. Just noticed Murray has only 9 pims this year, which is surprising #. I guess he has had that 1 fight and just 2 minors.
-
Crisp led Sudbury today with 3a and a +3 and not one of 3 stars, anti-goon bias? Vail 2a on the first 6 Spitfire goals, just end of 2nd (losing 7-6 to Sarnia) Gregoire & Hudon (3rd star) both had 1g today
-
4-1 Chicago with 6min left in 2nd.
-
You are probably right too want no part of him, but the big fellow would add to the offense and has uber size/grit, so I think would be a very interesting pick-up option for sure.
-
Dog goal waved off due to high stick.
-
And Bobby Orr would of stopped em? That goal was primarily due to Bourque's weak turnover and where was Murray's partner? Need to all chip in and get you to more games Joe!
-
Dogs down 3-0 after 4 on 4 goal in 2nd. Pateryn with big open ice hit. Thomas gets 1 back, 3-1
-
dumb penalty by Dumont and Jaskin scores PP goal Tinordi has 3 scoring chances so far and even rushed puck couple times, he maybe is getting quite anxious to get a call-up? Wolves make it 2-0
-
Why concerning? He is playing down to your expectations and proving you correct. But, I will give him another year or so, before pigeonholing him as Tim Conboy or Ian Shultz II and till then will just hope he improves and any sign of life is worth noting at least I still would love to know how high on Timmins list he was though and whether Bergevin/Molson had a big influence in selection?
-
just kinda, sorta kidding anyways, they wont clean house and still say will only be a minor tweek or 2 by March 5.
-
Diaz for a 2nd Markov for two 2nds & a 3rd. Boullion for a 5th Gionta for a 3rd any takers.... anyone want em?
-
Hudon & Bozon had 2 pt games also and the 2 swedes also got 1a each. Fucale with a whoping 23 shots against, but just another win for him.

Topic of trading #79 came up in early December, with Habs just going 10-0-1, many thought was just insane/kooky idea, but habs rule could still see bigger picture. I only mention it because now, many are calling for 79 to be traded, while currently both team slumping and his play in a funk, which is opposite of smart business plan and too much a knee-jerk reaction. But, I am very curious to see how Bergevin will handle this slump, with Habfans/Media/Blog mobs soaking the torches and sharpening up the pitchforks, looking for someone to blame.
-
Hockey panels and media need to rant and rave to attract attention and I really don't pay them much heed. But, is just funny that I got cut to shreads for even hinting that Markov could be trade fodder, earlier in season when he was tearing it up, but now when his value has plummeted (dropped a lot) many are saying ship him out/don't resign/ he is washed up. And team isn't doing well, so Bergevn would be dealing from very poor position if wanting to trade. Not that I don't make irrational proposals and "flip-flop' on stances re players; but just is smarter to sell high (Souray-Kovalev were others I would of shipped at X-mas, several years ago, when were at high point and then both walked for nothing), not when a player's "engine light" is on. Or you will need to trade a underperformer for some other teams underperformer, a la.. trade a Squid for a spineless Rene (but did get Fucale and Holland at least I suppose).
-
Havent watched any this year, but if Habs one is on I will watch, but other than that I could care less, just another game.
-
Hmm, didn't know that. Beat up on Chicago tomorrow and will be another good weekend (the 2-0 loss wasn't a bad game).
-
Not sure what is up with Diaz, healthy scratch seems odd? But Murray has done fine (actually overachieving for a quite low paid guy) and I would look farther up the food chain for bigger disappointments, or whom to point the finger at.

Suspended why for, some other game incident?

Desbien X-checks Dietz several times, till he dropped gloves got his licks in and them Desbien hammered him. 5-2 in fights.
