Chouinard rips a slapshot and now 4-2
-
And that shouldn't come as a surprise in his 14th NHL game?
-
No you arnt! a good game or 2 cant sway you that much can it? You have seen the first 45 games and the 13 points he had last year haven't you (don't care he had concussion, it happens which really sucks too bad but possibly retire, or get medical help if still rattled, but if gonna dress he needs to do something)
-
Outshot 12-3 aint so peachy. Murray 2 hits, 2 blocks and having a good game again. Beaulieu shows signs of what kind of offensive d-man he may become.
-
Dumont drops em again. feisty game
-
Tarnasky hammers Desbiens in 2nd fight in 14minutes and both decisions for him.
-
Dogs give a PP goal, Mayer beat on gloveside again (but good shot) 2-2 seconds later Nattinen rifles a wristshot 3-2 dogs (still in 1st)
-
Little swiss kid scores 1-0 in the 1st Tarnasky beats on Tinordi's normal dance partner -Maggio. Mayer beat low-glove side, described as a "whif by Mayer on shot 1-1 well quickly Thomas scores on Pickard 2-1 dogs in 1st
-
What is going on with Diaz? He hasn't stunk it up nor blown games with dumb plays has he?
-
Will it be the good Mayer today or..
-
Commandant will not be pleased by his comments. Well, another big shot PP specialist, that pretty much sucks defensively, Habs can easily do without him, but too bad just the same.
-
Really, wasn't paying close attention to game at that point and single malt didn't help. But, great to hear that, thanks.
-
Not a clue what kind of package would be needed for either. I just see Habs near bottom of G/G rank, but 11th in GA/G and seems to be most obvious weakness to be addressed, need more skill up front to contend, somehow/someway/sometime soon.

Any word on Emelin's injury?
-
Markov maybe like Gonchar and still had 'good' years left at similar age, but likely not at All-Star level anymore. I would almost think, "maybe he is slightly injured", then I see coachs running him out there at end of blowout games, which you wouldn't do if think he needs rest or an easy night.

A Beaulieu might be tempting for Oil or Jets to go after? And McTavish-Kates coming out and saying Eberle and core pieces arnt being moved, seems more bargaining rhetoric than anything else (you want a blue-chip asset, it will cost you) But still seems interesting and I am a big fan of Eberle and what he might bring to Habs forward group. Eberle- average 65.4pts, 4th NHL season, 23 years old, $6m/year E Kane- 61.7pts, 5th NHL season, 22 years old, $5.25/year A boost in skill up front at cost of top quality defense prospect +whatever makes cap fit (1st pick +Bourque+Diaz?) through till end of season. Either seem to fit what Habs could really use, but just habfan trade proposal #1,000,000 for this year.

Am I over-reacting after another crappy effort?

Kristo is 10th in AHL rookie scoring, so not a bad pick at all, but I know what you are getting at. The trend of shipping out picks for Moore, Tanguay, Sopel, Mara didn't make Timmins very happy I would guess. But that trend will be back once Mgmt feels team is ready to challenge I would assume (like Bruins-Pitt etc have done recently in effort to bolster playoff runs). -
Sean Monahan just had a sweet shootout goal and you can see that this kid could be a real super player in a couple years.
-
What do you think that have Habs specifically done wrong for 20+ years, that cup winning teams have avoided doing? Simply a combo of things eh? But all of Bergevin's rhetoric seems to be what I agree with; build though the draft and look more long term stability of entertainment product (wins/cups).
-
If Yemelin is hurt bad, who do you think will be called up next, Tinordi or Pateryn? Who is likely best for Habs to call up?

Yes -
No, Bergevin will only make a tweek or two. Maybe some team will bite on Bourque/Markov/Diaz/Beaulieu, but will see within next 6 weeks or so I guess. Beaulieu and a pick for Eberle? (or some deal with these young players, that is equitable and fits cap wise)

Fucale wins again! Snipers Crisp-Nevins-McCarron all score today Vail continues to pile up points with 2a. And finally Bennett shows sign of life with 1g & 1a game (but he is a strong skater and good with puck so he may do well in Hamilton at end of playoffs? unless he has to finish schooling?).
-
Did u attend game? any dogs stand out?
-
Should make playoffs, but may not.
