  1. For less than 20games he has shown he is earning his money, but to finish season is another 80 games...so my question was...can he keep it up till June, not anything about an extension.
  2. I am not worried about his play at all, Plekanec's extended lack of offense on the other hand is more worrisome; has he lost 1/2 step and missing wide open nets over and over is becoming more than just being unlucky isn't it, or Markov's lack of speed really seems to stand out this year, especially in own end (thankfully he is still very good on offense).
  3. TSN690 were beating around the idea, that Pacioretty is possibly playing through an injury, or maybe that his 3 documented concussions have him now shying away from tough areas of ice or going hard to the net. Don't know if any truth to either idea and I think he is simply in a slump and will get hot, hopefully sooner than later.
  4. What kind of deal, tweek for cup run, or major deal losing top prospects/picks (even a Sergachev) for a youngish centre or top 4 d-man?
  5. Actually Bergevin did try and sign a similar grinder that had played with Kings, didn't he? Cant remember his name off top of head, but got outbid or the guy just choose an American team.
  6. When he is the 9th highest paid on a team who is #1 in the NHL and is basically is on pace for his career average, what did you friggin expect? And sorry you had to overpay...oh wait you arnt paying him. And many want free agents signed every July, but when on the market in the summer they all tend to get overpaid, especially a 2 time cup-winning young forward, so shouldn't come as a shock he dosent have the best contract in the NHL like Pacioretty has.
  7. Maybe a bit more, he has averaged 34.6points/82games and is on pace for 30.4 and he has had games he has played very well, so other than more turnovers than expected he hasn't been horrible, but I guess some just got to find something to rant about.. And as some like to bitch that Desharnais/Plekanec never show up during playoffs, he has, so there also is that.
  8. You done yet, or you got more friendly posts saved up to to dump on the guy?
  9. Can Radulov keep it up for and be an impact guy into June? Or is he bound to struggle with the never ending NHL season? He is the biggest surprise to me, so far this year. I had expected a more 'inconsistent' player who shone in some games but would be invisible the next, but he seems to give an honest 'Gallagher-like' effort every game...so far.
  10. 3-0 loss, Lindgren 2g- 39 shots. IceCaps only had 19 shots. http://theahl.com/game-summary?game_id=1016126 Barberio 3shots, Friberg 4 shots, rest of skaters had a rather quiet game. Oh well, shouldn't expect them to sweep Marlies I guess, they are 3rd in the East and IceCaps are now 9th.
  11. Pezzetta had 2a game, but that is a whooping 8pts in 19gms, so seems like wont be challenging for a Habs roster spot anytime soon.
  12. Ummm, Martin is 6'3" 220lb and likely would run Weber and drop the gloves with him if had the chance (would be a great deal to remove Habs best d-man for 5 minutes with a guy that has virtually no offense).
  13. Weber with 2a, also crunched some leaf numerous times, with one real beauty hit and 8 saves as well. What the heck happened to Hanley? Injured or benched? Forced Markov to play 24+minutes, which is just too much for the General Grand-pa. Weber, Petry and ...Emelin? all with 3 shots. Pacioretty's penalty still stands out as low-light of game, worse was that he did it right in front of ref and then whined about. BOO!
  14. Was noted Redman was still in a walking boot couple days ago, so no time soon.
  15. One reason many want to see trapezoid removed, to create more goals by goalies turning over pucks when think they are better puck handlers than they really are, other would be to help protect d-men from being run into corner boards.
  16. He actually did win yesterday; but gave up 3g on 26 shots....885%, so even in win he seems a big step down from how Lindgren is performing.
  17. Not sure why that didn't draw 5 minute major penalty? I think Martin initiated the fight (he knew he was being penalized and wanted to sucker Beaulieu into one as well, which he did)so Beaulieu didn't really have a choice; but, yes was good on Beaulieu to not play up the hit.
  18. Mete 2a in 8-2 blowout over Niagra http://ontariohockeyleague.com/video/nov-1916-ldn-8-nia-2 Mete plays vs Sergachev-Addison today. Bradley scores in shootout. Hawkey 4g 25shot win.
  19. http://www.stjohnsicecaps.com/article/st-johns-topples-toronto-2-1/ recap/highlights (IceCaps finished strong...1 shot in 3rd period.)
  20. How selfish was that Pacioretty penalty!
  21. Yup, he seems to be a difference maker.
