  1. Yes, if only Habs had snipers like Cole, Fehr, Maatta and Guentzel then might be a contender.
  2. Emelin and Man Mountain both +1. Nice work by Lehkonen and Andrighetto on the goal. Habs had their scoring chances but didn't bury any others and Pens did.
  3. Yes he has lots of other skills or qualities to make up for not being a playmaker.
  4. Again, McCarron had good game ( on paper anyways), got the only goal and had 7 shots.
  5. Agreed, but don't think it will happen. Still see them adding a vet d-man or forward at or near deadline for a pick and expendable prospect.
  6. Good general discussion on Habs, Dumont & Marinaro http://www.tsn.ca/radio/montreal-690/dumont-what-the-habs-are-doing-with-their-young-players-1.651959
  7. But safe to say Weber does not have near the vision of a Markov and seems 99.99% of time he defers to his partner to move the puck up the ice, or he simply fires if off the boards which is safe but often just ends up coming back.
  8. Bergevin in interview yesterday noted another young puck moving d-man would be top of wish list, so seems to me Beaulieu is unlikely to go anywhere.
  9. Bergevin interview with Nilan, he discusses why McCarron sent down. http://www.tsn.ca/radio/montreal-690/bergevin-we-re-all-business-this-season-1.652284
  10. 7th in NHL in goals for/game, surprise to me anyways. Hopefully 27-67-47 line starts to click, but is likely about time for Pacioretty to go into a bit of a 'lull' in scoring...for whatever reason, snipers all seem very streaky? 9th best PP is a nice stat and assume Muller has been huge positive for it.
  11. Sergachev drops the gloves, but dosent get on the scoreboard; Addison 1g 1a.
  12. Hudon is back and gets 1g (11). McCarron assisted on both IceCap goals, good for him! Scherbak at least had 3 shots on net.
  13. Exactly which opportunities did he have to fire a slap shot, I musta missed those? I strongly suspect your theory is bunk, but who knows.
  14. $6m to the table? Wishful thinking he will be picked up...Maybe Danault they would like to have?
  15. Am sure sometime over next 4 or 5 months , if he plays well in Newfoundland, that he will get another shot.
  16. Well, that was one wild and exciting game, but outshot 20-18. Hey, at least the PK shut down the powerhouse Wings.
  17. A big centre who is good defensively and is a strong skater, why would that be weird. He also has played more NHL games than any 2013 2nd round pick (not saying much). Petan would of been a nice option, but would of been panned as another smurf pick. And in hindsight DuClair also another good option over Crisp (but I liked the Crisp pick at the time). http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2013e.html
  18. Pre-game trivia http://thereuschblog.com/?p=43162 Wings at home 8-10-3...not quite the powerhouse anymore are they.
  19. Why would Vegas take him though? They want expensive veterans in their last year of contract?
  20. Well. lets hope he shines, plays well defensively, forechecks hard, creates an offensive chance or two, buries one and surprises you and rest of us!
  21. Sergachev has big game; #1 star, 2g 1a +4 5 shots. Mete out injured. Since start of Jan. Fucale has sucked, pulled yesterday after 4g and gives up 6g on 35shots today.
  22. Good to hear he (hopefully) gets another chance. Who is next in line for call up; Audette, Matteau, Eisenschmid?
  23. Don't hate Redman-Barberio pairing as much as Johnston with anyone and thought 3rd pairing was OK yesterday, but obviously Markov is head and shoulders above all three of them.
  24. Nice comeback. 5 points in last 3 games for Danault and Byron with another productive game also. 6-2-2 in last ten is pretty good.
