  1. He had 59pts last year, has 12 in 15gms so far this year, so dosent seem like he is washed up quite yet, but that last year of contract might suck (as he has played 1407 games already in career).
  2. Galchenyuk is on 56point pace & winning 54% of faceoffs, which is good for his 1st year at centre, so is he really suffering from loss of Semin?
  3. Habs 2nd best PK, 3rd best PP and 3rd best 5 on 5 scoring, seems like a team doing quite well.
  4. GHG Where will the offense come from today...with only 1g in last 7gms, will it be Captain Max to light up Fleury?
  5. Juulsen has looked good and also did in his one game with Habs in pre-season, so far he does seem a solid 1st round pick.
  6. Many (most?) 1st half of season locks for awards, normally don't follow up with as strong a 2nd half. So has been a great start but still is only game 17 of 82, so likely shouldn't get crazy excited quite yet. Letang -10 & Crosby -6 is nice to see. Phil & Malkin are doing fine though and Fleury has awesome #s as well (1.93, .933%) so might be a good match up if Pens can slow down the high scoring Habs.
  7. But with Iginla, it isn't simply a rental, so would need to shed a salary no matter what wouldn't you (like an Eller-Emelin)?
  8. So, seems some think this is "the" year to sell farm and go for deep playoff run. Of course is still 3 months till trade deadline but right now Habs sit at 99.7% of making playoffs. SOooo...should you trade whatever needs to be traded, even if will cost in long run, to land a "all-star" calibre forward? If so do you look to do it before X-mas or wait till Feb-March? Iginla is an interesting target, with Aves sucking bad and Jerome still producing at good rate again to start season. So what package of picks/prospects/players would likely get it done?
  9. Juulsen no points in in WHLs 4-2 win, but was +3. Simon Bourque (4) 1g 1a in 7-3 loss and up to 17pts in 18 gms. Lehkonen gets 1a and now has 9pts +6 in 8 CHL games. Vejdemo has 0pts in 8 CHL games.
  10. Flynn has only played 15+minutes in 1 game and is 11th in icetime/game of Hab forwards, he also only makes $950,000 and kills penalties (1:22/gm vs Semin 0:00 on the PK).
  11. So you are saying that he should really f'in shine on Habs then?
  12. Too see Fucale's last game, go to AHL- St. Johns website and they have Nov.7 highlights video of every goal from several camera angles. He really didn't let in any "terrible" soft goals, but maybe coulda shoulda had one or two fewer? Website seems to post game highights relatively quick now.
  13. 2-1 for Jack Eichel over Stamkos at mid-game, can the young American kick his ass?
  14. 6g 11pts in 14games, so seems Iginla can still play.
  15. The top two AHL rookies have been called up to NHL, Semin is a bust at RW and the next leading rookie scorer in AHL played as a RW before turning centre two years ago. I bet many (most?) would be quite pleased to see that fellow tried on Galchenyuk's wing on that 3rd line?
  16. The superstars who play 20-28minutes/game would argue they shouldn't have to play one more second past a 60 minute game (without being compensated). And no matter if is 3 on 3 /4 on 4/ 5 on 5 OT & shootout, it all just isn't near as important when already have a loser point in the bank and coaches will often try and kill clock to get to OT and then shootout.
  17. Sure, better goaltending wont hurt at all. McCarron on pace for 32g-60pts, can he sustain his offense? Dosent seem good that even most of d-men have more points than de la Rose, with his whooping 0g 2a, on pace for 12pts.
  18. Juulsen had a nice backhand goal and played fine.
  19. Scotty Bowman on 3 on 3 (Renaud Lavoie) "I love that."
  20. Can two young(ish) d-men sit in pressbox for several months? I imagine Gonchar and Weaver spent a lot of weeks there, but they were experienced players near end of careers.
  21. This is ages they have iced for top 6 d-men; 25-22 21-24 23-20 + Didier 22- Johnson 23- Hanley 24; so not a lot of veteran leadership to draw on. But hard to say Tokarski will regain form nor how Fucale will hold up vs pros as a rookie? Another reason they arnt a lock for making playoffs.
  22. And the odd thing is, it was a situation Mgmt knew was coming up this fall. Most knew who top six would be way back once Petry was extended and Pateryn-Tinordi haven't really changed much since last year. So it maybe is all the darn winning that has thrown a bit of wrench into plan? Or Beregvin isn't sweating at all and he knows injuries are inevitable to showcase/test #6 or #24?
  23. Just seems overkill for this website, to keep beating that women up, over and over because of some 30 year old rumours or stories.
