  1. Thanks for the analysis, really appreciate it
  2. and that's a "fact" ! of course, not wanting to offend the VGK's sensibilities.
  3. putting bounce into "quotes" doesn't save anyone from making up something or trying to pass personal opinion for "facts"... more like an illusion to which you attach as much meaning meaning as to the facts. Interesting quote, pretty much summarizes how you interact with the forum. I have to give you kudos for being true to yourself
  4. You got my point my off the cuff remark was about getting all worked up because an expansion team may win the cup they are legit cup contenders, but until they win it they are as likely to always be the bridesmaid and never the bride
  5. * Regardless * How do you know that? * Regardless *
  6. the M-A Fleury window of course ... 😑
  7. I agree, I have them both in my protection list
  8. Habs will win, despite M-A Fleury being awesome. Which will perpetuate the VGK's hunt for the cup past their window is that better?
  9. As an exiled Montreal it is heard to think like that. Montreal had an expansion baseball team for many years (the Expos) that was beloved by everyone The Habs mascot (Youp!) was the mascot it that baseball team I doubt most fans will fell the same way about an expansion team That being said, just because it’s the playoffs it sufficient reason to grind them to sand Go Habs Go!
  10. That’s what read on this forum take it to the bank
  11. Regardless of who wins tonight, Habs play Monday
  12. I agree that there may be a fine line in one-win tournaments like the FIFA World Cup or tennis but in the Stanley cup tournament, teams have to win multiple times to go through the Habs have show. They were the better team for two weeks consecutive That matters and is a better indicator than shots in OT or scoring chances
  13. the narrative that MB has ulterior motives, or an agenda, is pure trolling. MB has repeatedly stated and shown in his actions that what he cares about is building a cup winning team and to repeat for contention multiple times. his best transactions, signings and hirings as well as his worst show that he is not affraid to make the decisions to achieve that goal. and if you want to mention Sylvain Lefevre, Drouin for Sergachev, Markov, Alzner or whatever.... even in those awful cases he kept actively trying to improve the team. M stays because he has done the job, and he leaves when he is willing to look for another chanlenge.
  14. I know, but it was more than that, I which I remembered better the exact quote
  15. To be honest, the Habs is the least talented of the five teams left , on paper. even the Habs stars have qualifiers or “asterisk” besides their performance because it is unexpected Habs will be rightfully the underdog regardless who they play. But I like those odds because I like the Habs team-play this year Go Habs Go!
  16. It’s a play on words, in Quebec’s “Fran-glais “ translates to “tough in bed”
  17. Seems like it is recycling week at the curb side:
  18. Didn't want to start a new thread, so I'll put it here: Worth to enjoy watching "the Habs" behave like "Les Glorieux":
  19. Yes and to a lesser degree of delta Edmundson-Petry
  20. One comment from Dom that I really liked is when he said something like: ”Hockey is honest, it rewards playing right. We will get those wins back” meaning that he was not stressed by loosing sequences as long as the players were playing “right” that showed maturity as a coach that made me comfortable defending him. You cannot buy that type of mindset
  21. It seems to be falling on deaf ears , but I’ll post it (“say it”) again Gustafson looks good when playing with Weber
  22. My preferred marchup VGK, and the post-Pacioretty trade. I like Patches and would love to see a series against his team and have the Habs roll over them 😜
  23. Would be interesting to see the TVA numbers too
