  1. I agree with you on the mishandling of injuries last year. Cole has not fully recovered from playing hurt... but he got his bonus to me the unwillingness to make minor trades to give the team and AHL prospects a breather; that is annoying me. MSL mentioned that Stephens gives that type of relief. I wish in this learning season that they would surround the core with some quality fillers. Like Pearson for example.
  2. they were projected to return in about 2 weeks.
  3. some good news in the horizon: Raphaël Harvey-Pinard and Tanner Pearson skating!
  4. 10 thoughts: https://www.habsworld.net/2024/01/10-thoughts-special-teams-sink-habs-versus-sabres/ I would give the goal posts the 3rd star instead of Allen, in the first he was not tracking the puck well and the game could have gotten out of hand early. He made some nice saves later but was not reassuring. I liked Slafkovsky's game. Anderson was skating like the wind and not showing any signs of injury and the fourth line played well all night. Yes, Pezzetta got a penalty but it was an intensity play not a lazy/careless play
  5. better than you slewfoot someone, grab him by the collar and rag him until he pushes you, to get matching roughing calls. I still think it is a nice twist for the type of play in the PWHL
  6. I am day dreaming, just expressing my heart's desire to see some elite talent.
  7. on a three way trade, I would love to see the Habs broker a deal and add some elite talent. We have enough middle-6 forwards
  8. I never minded him as a 3rd line centre. He wins faceoffs and is not a liability defensively. when healthy he will pot close to 20 goals. But he has been injured often with the Habs Darn Habs curse!
  9. I would start a kcskstart or gofund page to get one
  10. Harris is a talented LD that would thrive in other teams (Edmonton, Toronto, Tampa Bay, etc.) but he may be the odd man out with the Habs by the time the prospects are in the NHL and the team is consistently in the playoffs. His contract is a bit too much for teams already at the salary cap limit; but a bargain in itself as you wrote
  11. I've been saying that for a long time. They needed an exorcist not a new medical team
  12. Farrell has looked good but isn't he just returning form injury? I know Andersson was injured too but he has NHL experience
  13. after watching my first game, I think the shorthanded rule makes sense. The players are smaller and although some are really fast, most look like they are skating outdoors on the Rideau canal: going from end-to-end takes long. the rule makes it worthwhile for a team to spend the extra energy in trying to score instead of hunkering down
  14. Harris’ contract is a bit too high to trade to a cup contending team with no cap space. and the Habs’ RD prospects have yet to establish themselves I. The NHL. I doubt he is moved but he may become the odd man out
  15. You are right, juniors , OHL. That’s what I meant
  16. Happy birthday to Ryan Poehling: PHI: 32PG 4g 7a 11pts (-5) 13:52ATOI 48.1FO%
  17. my preference would be for the Habs to sign Gignac to a two-way contract and to call him up. He deserves it. If not, Lias Andersson just returned from injury
  18. I love Beck, but I do not want the Habs to call him on an emergency. Leave him in the minors like the Habs left Suzuki there I hope the Habs do not screw the Laval Rocket with recalls. I would like Hugh-Gort to unload a goalie to get fillers back until the end of the year
