  1. At that return, I would only trade Patches if we are sure Tavares is not signing with the CH. draft picks one or two years away from being quality NHL-ers doesn't align with what the team needs.
  2. Thanks Trizzak, I like getting your updates
  3. I am suggesting to retain cap for Alzner so that we can move him for a prospect that could become a better fit with the CH down the road. I still think that Patches for Strome is doable since they could move RNH back to center without loosing too much punch. But you are right that it may be too much to ask for Klefbom . What about asking for Caleb Jones (or William Lagesson) instead? That would be: Jones (LD) R. Strome (C) and their 10th overall. We could send another defense than Alzner but they seem to have a deeper D-depth than the CH.
  4. I know I've been laughed at already for some of my suggestions. But here I go again . Trying to get it right. Despite not wanting to trade Patches, I understand that the CH needs to manage that asset for the good of the club; as we did with Pleks. In return I have looked for a LD and a Center that have a potential to be 2C for the CH. I've looked at teams that may benefit from a cheap 30g LW and a slowish established bottom 4 LD (with the CH retaining part of the cap). So, here are four potential trades involving Pacioretty and Alzner: 1) Edmonton: 2018 10th overall, Klefbom(LD) and R.Strome(C) 2) Dallas: 2018 13 overall, Heatherington(LD), Shore(C) 3) Anaheim: 2018 23 overall, Larsson (LD), Nattinen (C) 4) Los Angeles: 2018 20 overall, Clague (LD), Anders-Dolan (C) With the draft pick the CH could get the best D available. It does not solve out 1C problem, but it should get us closer to fixing the CH LD problems.
  5. You are hard to please. Edmonton will need to give up someone, and Patches is on a cheap contract. Getting cap relief, two 28 year old veterans with 2-3 years of solid performance left at a lower cap hit would be a good option to them instead of Lucic/Khaira/Gaggiula/Slepishev or Skera/Russel. The price to pay is their thri line center that they can replace and their 2nd best LD.
  6. I was thinking of sending one of our LDs with Patches to get Kelfbom their 10th and maybe their 3rd line center who has a higher upside than ours (R.Strome > DLR) If the LD is Alzner, the CH could retain salary
  7. Good move, I am also happy that they seem to have moved Csrriere to an administrative role which I hope means Bouchard will work close with TT's recruitment team when evaluating prospects/draft-picks
  8. Machine of Loving Grace, that is ans clear an analysis as I've read. I was happy with PK and I was incredulous of what MB said when he made the trade: that it was to make us a cup contender . He brought Shaw at the same time, which compounds the problem. The thing for me is that I want to cheer for a team, and the CH is my team. Firing MB now won't fix any of the mistakes made. The only path I see is a redemptive miracle from MB/TT this summer and better overall performance from the roster. You are right in all you wrote. Let's move forward with what can be salvaged from our beloved team
  9. He was brought in to clean up after Gauthier and to grow the organization through drafts He departed from that to get Petry and Shaw. Last season was just desastrous
  10. He traded for Bourque, Briere, vanek and Weaver who perfomed well, and the next year he got Petry Gilber, Mitchel, Flynn, Prust, Weise, Smith-Pelly who all performed Ok Gainey's core was performing, Gauthier destroyed the prospect pool
  11. Yeah! I suck at this , just trying to show character and a willingness to go to the dirty areas even if I lack the skill Channeling my inner Pyatt
  12. Not if we are in win now mode. Which is the position I am going with. That's why I would trade Galchenyuk to Arizona for D. Strome. Scherbak should match Galchenyuk's production (20-25g) of recent years but has a lower ceiling. A potential 30g winger for D. Strome is good for Arizona. If Strome is as good as I've read we could have an NHL 2C center with upside If that is not enough, I would add 3rd overall for their and 5th overall. That is overpaying, so we would need to get something extra from Arizona. Hjalmarsson or Chychrun
  13. I sometimes feel like we would get as much of a return for Galchenyuk as for Pacioretty because he is younger, under contract, and is showing to have finally put things together
  14. Matheson, 2018 1st (#15) and Gildon FLA must take Alzner
  15. Sounds like there may be some players to be had in a trade
  16. Yeah, I lnow, doesn't make sense to talk trades in the Pleks thread just answering MoLG without getting into égratigne the top 6 are
  17. That's what I don't know: what those players would fetch for the CH. Elias Lindholm? Mikael Backlund? Sam Reinhart? Joel Eriksson Ek? Dylan Strome? I don't think it is enough for ROR or RNH The point was that if we could get a better 2C by sacrificing Chucky, and DLR we could get by with 2C Lehks-Danault-A.Shaw DLo-Pleks-Byron
  18. Ok, i would then package Galchenyuk , DLR, Lernout and Two 2nd draft picks for a 2C 20g/50p and a 3LD/depth to replace Lernout in our depth but from the other side That's a 3rd over all (Chucky) a 2nd (DLR), both youngNHLers! A bottom pair RD and some picks If they prefer Alzner with ratatines cap instead, then that's fine too My point remains that with a 2C with better upside than Danault; signing Pleks makes sense
  19. I get it Commandant, you written that to me on my hare brain trade proposals I do not know what to package to get a 1LD or 2C but I think bringing back Pleks and getting rid of those made irrelevant by Ikonen, Vejdemo , Poehling
  20. I would do that, bring back Peks as our 4C and and a mentor (groom him as a coach), and I would package DLR and any/all of Carr/McCarron/Rychel for a 2C or 1LD Poehling, Vejdemo, Ikonen or Bitten could grow from Plek's 4C slot once he retires
  21. I am so happy to see karma payback to the Bruins in how they lost the game tonight; thinking on how favorably refs called the games when they won their cup
  22. If that's the case, E. Crawford should have been axed for the Alzner/Schelemko fiasco...
  23. I am hoping he ca follow what Lehkonen did
  24. If at the start of next season he earns the CH's 4th line center position, I would be happy, anything beyond that would be awesome.
