  1. Thay have tied Belleville for the 5th spot but are only 3 points away from 3rd. A win today against TOR would solidify their playoff chances. Kaskisuo will play against his old team this afternoon, I hope he has a good game.
  2. thanks. I missed yesterday's game, but it seems he played. SOme comment's I've read is that he is in the middle of a scocring drought. He will not play against TOR this afternoon. I was a fan of Misak, I didn;t think he had NHL potential, but liked how hard he trained and how hard he played despite his lack of size and skill. Perault is a better gamble for the Habs organization, but he is not helping LVL right now in their puch for the playoffs. He needs some time to adjust.
  3. I know, but given where MAilloux started at the begining of the season to now being a regular on the PK: he is still improving
  4. This is a bold statement by the Rocket radio play by play announcer: comparing Mailloux to Subban’s rookie season but it is comparable
  5. Paquette-Bisson was the best defenseman, after Trudeau went down he made whoever he was playign with better defensively meaning that Galipeau and whoever was paired with him was weaker. When Barron and MAilloux were paired together (like in the goal) you could see they were not comfortable specially since they are both used to push to the offensive zone. To Mailloux's credit, he pickeed himself up after the goal and won the game in over time, a "Matheson"-eske effort
  6. Mailloux wins it in OT. too bad the Belleville Sens got one point. The kids looked good for the Rocket
  7. Reinbacher ties it with a great deck at the blue line to come in 2 on 1 this kid is special!
  8. Lias Anderson scores on teh power play, 2-1 bad guys
  9. McKay gets suckered into drawing a penalty. Going from bad to worse
  10. Barron and Barron playing together early in the 3rd. a missed puck at his on blue line by Mailloux leads to a goal. Not a good start to the 3rd. LVL players seem more interested in trying to get a penalty than playing hard
  11. quiet game by both teams after two. Laval played well in the first but got three penalties almost back to back and that sapped their energy. the second was boring, evenly boring. Reinbacher is looking good for a first game. He is big, seems so smooth skating end to end. It almost looks effortless. Defensively, he covers a lot of space and (IMHO) seems to smother the other team. Farrel is such a smart player, I hope he scores. He seems ot make the smart play every time. Is it me? or has Heineman cratered after a promising start? He seems to be the Josh Anderson of the Rocket. Trudeau blocked a sot in the first and has not returned
  12. there was a comment on another thread about playing Armia on the 2ns line. I think that @DON or @tomh009 asked me if I had watched recent games and I had not watched for weeks. I came into this game inpart curious to see if Armia was playing like a 2nd line winger. I have him playing on the 3rd line next year and excelling on that role before being traded for a 3rd (or later) pick
  13. I hadn't watched a Habs game in a few weeks, I tuned in to see what the big fuzz was about Armia being a 2nd line winger. Well, he isn't. === Despite being targeted all night and coughing up the puck a few time sunder pressure, I liked Guhle's game. I also loved Slafkovky-Suzuki-Caufield. My potato-head eyes saw Savard unable to neutralize the VAN forward on two goals, and that made almost loose one... Mrs potato-head would have been mad at me! Go Rocket Go!
  14. Some of the ELCs will be up for renewal in 2025. As of next season, HughGort will have to show how he wants to structure the salary hierarchy of the Habs. He will have an almost blank slate by then. Isn't Price coming off the books in 2025 too?
  15. I wonder what is in the water in NJ that turned Allen into a decent back up goalie?
  16. I read you, I get it I just hope, and hope for the best in people
  17. you are right, I have not watched a Habs game in over two weeks. I don’t have a clue how he is playing. All I know is that I would play the boat anchor contract on a second line in hopes that what happened with Monahan happens again and that the asset can be shipped out. Next season is a long way in thaw future; the Habs will be very different then
  18. It is not about Armia deserving to move up. I do not know if you know the saying: “People raise to their level of incompetence” Armia’s level is 3rd line winger
  19. I prefer playing Anderson over Gallagher on the second line. Armia has never successfully been a top-6 forward. He does great on a third line and that is where I would look to up Armia’s value. I am not as adverse towards Anderson; he is a useful player if the coaching staff uses him to his strengths instead of re-inventing him… but I digress
  20. Maybe now, but he is still developing and He may be an option as a 4th RD if Savard is moved; he can flip/flop with Kovacevic on the bottom pair until the other RDs are ready
  21. well, I am still hoping Roy wins that spot. Anderson is signed until 2027. Dach and Newhook play a fast aggressive game, from all the other options on wing, Anderson is there by default unless Roy is fully healed and wins that spot. Dvorak and Armia are both UFAs after next season. I would play them together on the 3rd line and rotate a winger there. Anyone, whoever best helps them get points or be scored on less. That's the money line from which at least two will be traded at the deadline. Evans can center the remainders and be an awesome 4th liner.
  22. Anderson and Dvorak cannot play together. They tend to go to the same spots on the ice and run into each other; and none of them were able to adjust their game despite all the effort from the coaching staff. I much rather see Anderson with Dach and Newhook unless Roy wins that spot squarely next season.
