  1. The lineup I posted above is most probably from the end of the 2010-2011 season. This is early in the 2011-2012 season: http://web.archive.org/web/20110915000000*/https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/
  2. Because he is at his peak value on his current contract Pay him more and his value goes down. Give him term and he may need waivers in 3-4 years
  3. Evans: 52 points over 166 games = 0.31ppg Lehkonen: .41ppg, but with MTL: 147 over 396 = .37ppg I am still of the opinion Evans has as much value as Lehkonen had, specially with his great PK play, cheaper contract than Lehks at the time and good FO%
  4. Evans is exclusively used in shutdown roles with the worse wingers possible. I am sure he could do better if given the chance, like Leks
  5. He, he, he, If he scores every other game, sure he will. He has all the other attributes Arturi “cement hands” Lekhonen had
  6. Good result for the tank, and no one got hurt. Even if Pezzetta drew a bad penalty, he played better than Armia, Anderson, Slafkovsky, etc. Happy for Evans, if he scores every other game, he will become a good grade chip like Leks was. I love watching Guhle play except when he lays flat on the ice to block passes. He could get injured!
  7. I continue to believe that the AHL team has been mismanaged since the end of last season. For a team that is supposed to focus on development, they are hoarding prospects at the NHL level and handicapping the farm team
  8. I am not sure, but didn't he skip a few shifts? Or was that Slafkovsky on the 4th? I missed the shot to the wrist I think he still wears "short" hockey gloves despite the repeat injuries.
  9. If it wasn’t for Richard and Allen, it would have been a boring game too bad they got a point, it keeps them at .500 but that’s ok , not the worst thing I am glad Drouin did well in his limited role and that no one got hurt
  10. ok, I'll re-state. The lineup is from Gaut's last season before MB took over, so before any morphing into what ever. I was curious to see the "starting point" at the time and compare to now. just trying to pass the time until the trade deadline when the team will shed dead weight and contracts for picks. moving on
  11. I don't expect Drouin to be great , good at most but not great. He seems to do better on face-offs that Dach and may be a good placeholder until the prospects come up.
  12. Let's hope none of the pending UFAs gets hurt and that Drouin's wrists hold on now playing center. Go Habs Go!
  13. I was looking at an old lineup from 2010-2011 (late March 2011) and I thought: "this is before the MB rebuild, how does it compare to today?" * D prospects look better, * Top line looks better * bottom 6 look similar * Goalie situation is not great right now * There is hope for the future 2011 2022 Kostitsin - Gomez - Gionta Cammalleri - Plekanec - Moen Pouliot - Desharnais - White Darche - Halpern - Eller Hamrlink - Wisniewski Gill - Subban Mara - Sopel Price / (Auld) Caufield - Suzuki - Dach Slafkovsky - Drouin - Anderson Dadonov - Dvorak - Hoffman Richard - Evans - Armia Edmundson - Guhle Harris - Kovacevic Xhekaj - Wideman Allen / (Montembeault) If you are wondering why not posting from 2011-2012 (shortened season, strike) it is because at this point PG still believed he could turn around the team. Here are the moves he did before getting fired: https://www.prosportstransactions.com/hockey/Search/SearchResults.php?Player=&Team=canadiens&BeginDate=2011-06-01&EndDate=2012-04-01&PlayerMovementChkBx=yes&submit=Search&start=0 * Got something in return for Wisnewski who had said he didn't want to resign with the Habs * Let these UFAs walk: Perezhogin, Sopel, Mara, Auld, Halpern, Hamrlik * re-signed Georges and Erik Cole to long term contracts * signed Budaj * Signed Gallagher to entry level contract * then he went into rebuild mode firing Martin and trading away Cammalleri, Gill, Kostitsin
  14. This makes me happy for Drouin. Of course, only for a few games until Monahan comes back
  15. saw this one half sleep (tried to stay up, to make my own idea on the team), but missed why Slafkovsky paid less late in the game Montembeault was great and that Hoffman shot was a laser guided rushing headlong
  16. ARZ has been playing wrll lately and the Habs have not. Let’s hope no expiring UFA gets hurt and that Drouin has another decent game if the wrists hold up! Go Habs Go!!!
  17. I am thinking from a sellers perspective. The Habs have expensive players that may fill an LTIR hole in another team. A bunch of teams in a wild card situation due to injuries may be interest choices
  18. Tank was on for this game. Drouin had a decent game, but he is exposed every time he plays the blue line on the PP. Drew two penalties and created chances. what happened to Anderson? He seems to be Armia’s twin out there. I love Guhle’s play, great kid.
