  1. How do Predator fans feel? Dancing in the street or mourning the loss of their captain?
  2. Never ever did I think we'd give up PK. I can only hope that he really is annoying to his teammates and that as a club the Habs never would have won with him. That said, upside aside, one for one for the next couple of years (when our Price/Patch window is the widest), I think Weber is the better overall defenseman. 5 years from now? We will regret this trade UNLESS we have a couple of shiny new Stanley Cup victories between now and then.
  3. Therrien vs Subban Habs kept the wrong one.
  4. I wonder if the 2 future 2nds are worth more in a trade at the deadline for a playoff push. We lose on the value because they are late 2nds, but maybe the value is increased because they are picks and not prospects.
  5. If his play isn't so bad as to prevent you from making the post-season and you have enough cap space to have a good team, I don't mind at all overpaying by 2 mil for a player who becomes worth every penny of the 3.9 in the postseason.
  6. I got to know Cam Morrison - he is such a quality kid. Needs to improve his skating, but he is a scorer. He is always in the right place at the right time and he has finish. Would love him in the 2nd round for the Habs.
  7. I didn't even really take offense! I was just saying the label doesn't fit. It's like calling Price unproven in big games after he has won Olympic gold - take shots at him if you like, but that shot doesn't stick anymore.
  8. The 'sisters' label is old and no longer applicable.
  9. It's hard to complain about the players the Habs don't have yet. C'mon MB! Get us more point-producing forwards for people to complain about!
  10. I'm glad he's gone cuz I'm not a fan of hyphenated last names. ?
  11. Fact is, both Beaulieu and Pateryn passed up Tinordi on the depth chart. Can hardly blame the club for poorly handling him - he just simply never took the next step. Both Beaulieu and Pateryn kept improving and taking the next steps. Bergevin hung on to Tinordi because if he could take the next step, the high ceiling risk was worth it. It was a gamble, they believed in Tinordi - he didn't reward that faith.
  12. MB needed to come out on the short end of a deal so he could set up a bigger deal where he makes a killing. GMs were getting wise to him. No more. Trust ZootSuit! He's the man with the plan!
  13. Oy - don't like Semin out of lineup for tonight, but don't Weise, Byron & company go light up the scoreboard, making MT look a genius! Maybe he is!
  14. I'm liking the IceCaps thread being here this year. I am a much more faithful reader now ... Thank you!
  15. Thanks Brian. ?I wish you weren't right so often ... at least in this case. ?
  16. I'm so disappointed. I live close to Cleveland and was looking forward to seeing them again - especially with Lake Erie now being a Blue Jackets team. Guess I need to wait until 2016-17. I had thought they didn't play in Cleveland because they weren't Hamilton anymore. Glad to know I was wrong!
  17. Maybe Byron could benefit from some sessions with Stephane Waite!
  18. 55-19-6-2 1st in Atlantic 1st in League 239 goals Last season was no mirage, it was the beginning of something special. It's time! GO HABS GO!!!
  19. In some jobs, you get paid for asking the questions or finding the problems, in other fields for answers and solutions. Statistics alone told us the PP sucked - Ramsay is here for solutions. Let's see if any of our posters recommend solutions the Habs now successfully employ!
  20. You prefer DD to Lars defensively? Offensively, you have a point, DD has produced while Lars has worn out the 'potential' card. But without the puck, seems to me they both hustle and work hard and that Lars even has the edge in terms of results defensively (who plays the PK more? who has the most defensive zone face offs). Lars very well may be the odd man out and the one to ship out, but based on offensive production, hockey IQ and potential return in a trade, not defensive results or work ethic.
  21. Terrible interview. I hope it was the language barrier. I was more optimistic 10 minutes ago than I am now. That's it.
  22. We knew there was no way MB was just sitting around waiting for Brisson/AG to call him back and resume negotiations. I really think 1 year 1.1 is a no-brainer (if that is accurate). I still hope there is competition for all roster spots meaning, if Thomas or Andrighetto or whoever outplay him, that Semin sits or goes waivers.
  23. I'd rather get our injury quota satisfied over the summer months!
