For those who don't have the luxury (sarcasm), on local radio PJ Stock has good things to say about Hall Gill. He plays ugly, but can be counted on to get the job done. He see's him playing with Markov, minus the power-play time. He also says Gomez plays with a certain edge, and may have lost his way in the bright lights of manhattan. My opinion, we're better, and we finish ahead of the leafs, much to the dismay of the media. We're a playoff team.

Wow, I see why. All the players you list as your favourites are all gonzo. I'd say we're younger, better, faster, stronger, more north american. But, like you, I have mixed emotions.

So this is how Koivu's tenure with the team ends?? I don't really like it. He NEVER got to play with a 48 goal scorer like Gionta, or a two-way, go to the net Gomez. I'd trade Plex, free up some cap space, and let Koivu finish his career here, with a reduced role.

I didn't say we keep them all, we all know you can't with a salary cap. The fact that we got nothing for them is the problem. The Komisarek loss might be the biggest, he's a high draft pick, home grown talent who supposedly was captain material. I love Bob Gainey, but it might be time to go. I coudn't agree with you more. Nobody really has a clue, from there computer keyboard, who is a good coach or not. I wanted Carbo to be our Lindy Ruff, look how that turned out.

Close the thread. I'm serious, Cucumber's post nails it. In the cycle of coaches, he's EXACTLY what this team needs after last seasons meltdown. With Martin's attention to detail on defence, look for Carey Price to have a dominant year as well.

We were never getting Jay Bo anyway. C mon, we've got what, 11 million locked up in Markov and Hamrlik?? You can't have 17 million locked up in 3 defensemen, with a salary cap set to go down.

I agree completely. I wasn't defending the booing. We didn't get swept because of goaltending. I just feel that it wasn't all anti Carey Price.

I think that we're making too much out of Price being booed. Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle were booed in The Bronx. It tends to happen in cities that are "tough" to play in. Price did nothing in the playoffs, not even steal a game, but I'd say that wasn't even the reason for the booing. I feel it was directed at Bob Gainey. Bob made two important decisions that both seemed to backfire. He fired Guy, a move I liked, and he kept his man Price in net, and we got swept. Also, if Carey keeps getting booed in the years to come, then we've got problems anyway, because he won't be performing up to expectations.

Please, no more coaches without any experience!! Roy is a young man, let him go gain experience elsewhere. As for Lemaire, he doesn't want to coach here, we all know it. Hartley, Robinson and Lever, as posted by someone earlier, I'd be delighted with those three.

I think you nailed the two biggest. Taxes and weather. Bad roads? I'll assume you've never been to Detroit. With all do respect to anyone that may live there, it's shockingly ugly.
