  1. i am not sure what huethas to find. he has only played preseason and not much of that with a lineup that s not reg season. we signed him for 3 million because we know he will be just as good as last year maybe better! go crystalball go
  2. hope you all got the results of tonights game pleks is here to stay
  3. I believe that bg and guy think this guy can play or they would not have gotten such an expensive option. I don't think they are going to have a guy making 2.5 in the press box. He is not coming in as an intentional 7th defenceman imo.
  4. close the thread he's gone to dallas
  5. lokks like that may have already happened since they traded ribs to dallas
  6. this could be a great trade. We need defence badly. hopefully he will get his head in the game.
  7. He may be special but lets remember guy lafleur didn't just up and become a great star, he spent his time waiting to get in and learning the big time. He matured. As did many others . We do not need an Daigle who was brought up too quick and never panned out. look at Spezza, smart on the part of the sens. Bob and Carbo will bring him up when he is ready, I do not think that will be this year, but who knows, with injuries etc it may happen
  8. I thought there might be some cuts by now, any word? I was thinking that carbo had said that yesterday or today they would make some cuts? Not htat I wish any rookie badly but I am wondering about progress of the group.java script:emoticon(':hlogo:', 'smid_11') smilie
  9. Talk about a wet dream. there is no way that this trade will happen. mind you it would probably mean that the pens would make the playoffs I mean having ribs there and all
  10. I could see moving ryder to get dumont but we would need a lot in return, (1st rd draft picks) Ryder is a good player but he is not the fastest guy around, and I wonder how he will do in the next couple of years as the Habs turn into a much faster and skilled team. his trade value may never be higher than it is now. Dumont can match him for points and is a tougher checker/player with very good speed. it should be an upgrade but i would much rather dump bonk if we could.
  11. montreal is not trading a defenceman making 1 mill to make room for a forward. dump bonk yes komi no!
  12. you could be right about that Im not sure. btw i never said anything about washington, I just said the rumour was that they were trying to get a pick for him. That would create the cap space.
  13. so lets pick up dumont and send bonk to the minors no outlay of players or cash
  14. the rumour is that bonk would be given away for a pick creating cap room for dumont that might be a good move who knows? we'll only know when bob actually does something and it probably won't be what we are expecting:)
  15. eric was a great player and only a bone head traded him away it was the dismantling and destruction of the habs at that time we are only now starting to recover good luck eric
  16. VERY VERY GOOD POINTS. I say lock him long term while we can. He is a great habs and i think wants stay here. go shelly go
  17. does anyone know if there is a site that can give you where the teams currently are in regards to the cap? I can' seem to find one but there must be one. :?-
  18. bulis is worth exactly what bob probably offered him around 1 mill. I wouldn't expect his agent to come out and say nope nobody phoning. Looks like jan screwed up and got a little too big in the head department
  19. The thing about last years team is that they showed a lot of heart. They battled injuries a poor goalie a bad coach (for this team) and never gave up. They scored when the chips were down remember how many games they won by 1? Heart is what it is all about they have improved talent and we can look forward to a hard working team that never gives up (unless koivu takes another dirty stick tio the eye)
  20. this is the funniest thing i have heard of in 40 years of watching hockey. Only thing that comes close is when ballard fired punch imlach and then hired him back for the next game goota love the wing wang in new york or was that roger smith i cant remember
  21. wow this has got to be the fastest firing of a gm in history. Well nothing is boring when mad mike milbury is involved lmao:)
  22. boy tough crowd! I was merely trying to explain the differences in the two lists
  23. I compared the 2 lists and ch_nl's list has some minor differences in dollar amounts like 3mill for huet , it's actually 2.875 per year but the real difference in the two lists is that cn_nl has ferland cote laooiere and kosty counting against the cap which I believe they have to make the team first. so our actual commitment at this point is closer to 39 or 40 million depending on signing ryder, and barring a trade to free cap room.
