You're being selective here, picking those two players. For that matter take all the players who scored between 29 and 31 goals and you tell me with a straight face that Ryder is the worst player among them. Check something else, how many of those players were drafted in the 8th round or lower. Anybody who scores 30 goals in the NHL is good.

To say Ryder was directly responsible for that goal is totally wrong., he was just one part of an unforunate chain of events. If Zohin played so poorly how was his line able to be the most consistant throughout the series. Why does Dandenault have to go, he had a great series.

How do you know he's not going to make a good head coach. How many coaches have head coach experience before they become a head coach, none I would say. The fact that Bob Gainey picked Carbo to be the head coach is enough for me. I remember when the Habs won a cup with a rookie head coach. Do you?

Thanks for the voice of reason. To go out and try to get Williams is totally stupid, all that's going to lead to is Canes power plays and ultimately goals against. To win the series is the best way to end this guys season. Hit em where it hurts most, on the score board.

I agree with BTH on Bonk, he's doing exactly what BG wants him to do. When talking about Ryder I think some tend to forget this is a guy who was drafted 216th overall. How many 8th round picks are their teams top goal scorer and play on the first line. This guy has gone far beyond what was ever expected of him.

Huet has great lateral movement which is proven by his near perfect positioning. He has to get in those positions somehow. Also there's not a goalie in the NHL that doesn't have great reflexes.

I disagree, no way is Higgins playing over his head, let alone "way over". I personally liked this guy from day one, he's great on the boards, goes into the tight scoring areas without fear, plays with great intensity all the time and above all else is intelligent. The skys the limit for this guy. JMHO. Having said all that I vote Ryder for the best rookie.

I'm not being negative, it's others who were that way, I'm not one to write somebody off because they played 3 sub par games. For the most part Aeby played well in Colorado so there was no reason to believe he wouldn't do the same here.
