habs_25th
Hey, did Houle make any good trades when he was GM? Or were they all bad? Did he make any good draft picks? Good soldier, horrible general.

Good soldier, horrible general. the muller-schneider trade for Turgeon-malakov was pretty good, since Muller was in decline. At the time i was hoping the habs would go after Lafontaine who was rumoured to be available - but ended up having concussion problems shortly thereafter. if only turgeon with all his skill had even half of mullers heart! The Malakhov trade isnt even really Houle's trade. Back then Jacques Lemaire wasnt coaching anymore and had agreed to come back in the Habs fold as an "advisor". Since he knew the Devils like the back of his hand, he probably got the deal done for Houle.
The Chicoutimi Cucumber
Thibault for Hackett was a decent move...unfortunately, it was a desperate attempt to patch up the Worst Trade in Habs' history.

ITs unfortunate that the worst trades in Habs history have happened in the last 12 years. Bring back Sam Pollack

habs_25th
So Houle made no good trades? Wow, not surprising actually. Was wracking my head trying to think of one.
