kost46
Basically you post a question and the first person to get the answer right then gets to post a question himself. I'll start. Who is the only DMAN from the current montreal canadiens lineup, NOT named Sheldon Souray, that has scored a SLAP SHOT goal from the point this season? By the way this player has only done it once this year.
JMMR
MARK STREIT !
Punkned
Answer: Mark Streit on a PP goal, january 6 against the Rangers. Question : What's the name of the bridge that is painted on the left side of Halak's mask?
Peter Puck
MARK STREIT ! I don't think any other Dman has scored from the point. Streit was a forward playing back at the point for the powerplay when he scored that goal.
BTH
I remember Rivet scoring one?
dark_faerie87
I remember Rivet scoring one? But he's not in the current lineup anymore. I wonder if Gorges scored one with the Sharks though... ...nevermind, his only goal was a tip-in. http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20062007/PL020610.HTM

bigbird19
BTH is not allowed to answer this one... What was Kovalev's lucky charm during the '94 playoffs? Just guessing.... some thing in relation to the WTC bombing of 1993 ? A twin tower pendant ? Here's mine........................ In the 1976-1977 season the Canadiens went 60-8-12. Apart from the absurd low number of losses, what else did this team do 8 times that season ?

kost46
BTH is not allowed to answer this one... What was Kovalev's lucky charm during the '94 playoffs? bigbird19
Hatricks I think. [/quote I think Guy Lafleur or Steve Shutt may have 8 of those, but it was a TEAM thing. Good try though.
kost46
Did they beat a team 8 times that year? Season + Playoffs total
bigbird19
Did they beat a team 8 times that year? Season + Playoffs total Since I have to put my kids to bed at this late hour, I'll give the answer..... The Habs incredidbly had 8 games where they scored 10 or more goals that season. Not bad. How many teams have done that even once this season ? So forgive me for being quite impressed by the 5 goal/ 22 minute bomb last night I know "defence/goaltending" win Cups, but wouldn't we all rather see 4-3, 5-4, 7-5 games even in the playoffs ?? My kid's want a bedtime story. They rule. OUT.

(They won the Cup that year ) If nobody gets it in three posts then ill post the answer.

Oleg Petrov
The Habs won 10 overtime games in the 1993 playoffs, not 11. They played 11 overtime games, but lost the first one to Quebec; and it is true that they won 11 consecutive overtime playoff games, if you count their win the following season against the Bruins. But they only won 10 in 1993.
