He is valued for his defensive positioning and his play along the boards, but to get over 40 points in a season? That is just a plus to how good of a grinder he is. It's his release. He's got some slick moves that he can use to get in position. Then he uses his quick release to get a shot off. And not only his release, he also shoots a LOT. For the first 10 or 15 games, Ryder was in the top 5 in the league for shots. But at least someone is shooting! Last year, we averaged around 15 a game in the last 15 games! It is good to see youngsters like that shooting the puck. With his hard shot, you get more rebounds. I just never knew he was such an accurate shooter. Ribeiro
DAMN! I missed it again. I was reading on posts made by Bruins fans on how "Bad Habs Fans Are". Then I heard: SCOREEEE

ricucity
Talk about having an off year, full of poor defensive play due to...poor pinching and bad decisions...well, screw that, it paid off this time! OH THE IRONY!

ricucity
Why are we still playing the Hunchback of Montreal? He screwed up twice there in the offensive zone.
ch_nl
Feels nice. So tired. Have to sleep. But I don't know if I can. So what do you say? Is it safe? Or will I be dissapointed tomorrow? What's the play like? Are the Bruins hot? MÅNTREJÅL KANÄJDJENS!
ricucity
The game is lopsided ch_nl...we are dominating. But you never know with the Habs. I am not going to tell you what to do though, for fear of being the jinx.
Ribeiro
Every game that Perreault is out, the CBC commentators say that "This is where Julien might miss Perreault" or "This could be where Perreault's presence is useful" I never hear them say Dagenais is useful. ch_nl
Ok... I'm visiting my parents for the holliday so I'm on a 56k modem. No CJAD. But I'll go to sleep with tele-text on. Or does that makes me a bad fan? (Just came to think about it, in swedish "fan" means two things. Supporter and Satan. Bad fan. Funny...) simonus
I ain't sleeping, for sure! Of course, its only 8:39pm for me. If you can stand to stay awake I would do it. This is a nice pick-me-up so far, hopefully it stays that way. BTW - are the canadiens turning into cowboys or something? Is it my imagination or do they all have handlebar moustaches? jl.roberts
You're not imagining it... It would have been great if Ward had connected on Lapointe... but I'll take the 3-1 lead. Also, Zednik and Ryder are one of these games going to get the breaks and Raycroft will be sorry. I love it. Ribeiro
Raycroft is a rookie goalie in the playoffs. Shatter his confidence, and it's over. If Ryder had one of those goals, Raycroft would have went nuts.
habsfan88
Hey guys, I know you guys have seen me telling people off for bashing kovalev. I know hes a true star, and hes hit his stride tonight so far. I say he gets a hatrick
DjStang
Great game so far by the habs. Hope they keep it up. On a side note. Some of the people posting here really make me laugh. Yelling for Kovalev's head one day, and thinking he's the greatest the next. Have a problem with Dagenais being in? Maybe they want someone better defensively then Perreault. Sure he can win face offs, but he's a pretty streaky player. Instead of complaining so much, how bout just enjoying the game and picking out the good things that they're doing. :can: :ghg: :que: :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo: :hlogo:
