Dalhabs
Hey couldve used horseshit as a jersey and it wouldve looked better :puke:
Guest Biff Malibu
Cool pictures. Thanks. What's with his new pads? As you can see there is an "L" on one of them and the other one has an "X." Apparently those are roman numerals and the "LX" stands for "60." Pretty clever, but they look too plain.
palmetto_thunder
I am probably one of the few that actually likes the look of that jersey! :hlogo:
Fanpuck33_
I hate Euro jerseys. I will puke if the NHL ever allows ads on uniforms.
ch_nl
It made me sick. About european jerseys... I agree the NHL jerseys are so much more clean without ads. But, many european teams has far better logos than newer north americans. The absolute coolest jersey ever is the one worn by Luleå during the 70's. I'll post it if I'll find a picture. TheAussiePosse
You might end up puking in the end, because that's the way the NHL will get (eventually). For the NHL to be a profitable business, that's one surefire method. I actually don't mind that jersey, there are A LOT worse! There are really only a few ads, and they don't destract much from the colour scheme or the main logo (which isn't that flash anyway). simonus
nike or ccm or sherwood gets to throw their logo on the jerseys and sticks... there is certainly a difference, but they are definitely getting advertising on the TV.
Habsfan21
Fanpuck, go get your chuck bucket..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v290/habs.../Canadiens3.gif [Edited on 2005/1/10 by Habsfan21]
Habsfan21
But really, about uniform ads, I don't think that's a route they are willing to go. I mean, there's ads on the boards, ads on the ice, ads everywhere. The NHL still has the thought that it is a "Big 4" sport, and none of the other Big 4 have ads on them. Now, baseball on the other hand....it's gonna happen soon, I think you can count on it.
puck7x
I dont think the NHL will ever goto billboard-uniforms. Reason: NHL has commercial breaks through the game (3 seperate 90 second breaks per period), I dont think many Euro leagues do this.
Fanpuck33_
The Bell on the front is tolerable, but the Molson is hideous.
Dutch_Habs_Fan
This jersey ain't bad. I kinda like it. And if you compare it to German and Dutch jersey's. THOSE are Hideous!
sakiqc
I like Theo's new jersey. I like to see euro's jerseys filled with many different colors. But dunno if I'd like to see "Home Depot", "Couche-Tard" or "Casino de Montréal" on the Habs jersey. It'd be a sacrilege.

I don't know about you, but I'm not the biggest fan of commercial breaks in hockey, let alone sports. Sure, there have to be some breaks now and then, but we give them 20 minutes between periods - do they really need another 15 minutes as well? If we sacrificed a small logo on the front opposite where the 'C' would be on the captain's jersey, and some writing underneath the numbers on the back in return for a single 90 second commercial break, or two 30 second commercial breaks (per period), I'm sure there'd be a lot more happy fans out there. In other news, anyone check out the ESPNHL? I think they have some great ideas there. Some iffy ones, but overall, a solid product.
