Chris
Again, facing 40 shots isn't helpful. He played on a team with alot of injuries, no defense to speak of, he was hung out to dry numerous times all year. I would even argue he stole alot of points for them early in there, without that they wouldn't have even made the playoffs.
Sir_Boagalott
2-3 years ago everybody said Fleury was destroyed because he was exposed too early to the NHL. ya, and how many shots a game was he facing? 30ish? or 50+? Do you know who Pitts drafted during Fleury's growing pains? Malkin, Crosby, Staal Who did the Habs draft during Prices growing pains? Nobody that will even be here within 4 years of being drafted. How did Pitts get to draft so high to get those 3 all stars? Easy they didnt act like the Habs and the stupid Laffs pretending they could compete in years they had no business trying to compete in. The Laffs had a chance at Taveres but blew it thinking they were playoff bound. With the Habs Bob should have realistically come to the realization that if he was going to go with Price no matter what than it would be pointless trying to go for it all. Yes picking up Tanguay was a mistake. The Pens waited until Fleury started comming into his own and got 3 more high picks that were all in the NHL before they started making trades and signing big name UFA's. Bob kinda jumped the gun a bit. Had Bob not signed Lang and gave up a 1st and a 2nd rnd pick for Tanguay they might have had a shot at Taveres, Hedman, or Duchene. alexstream
I'd say we can trade with the Rangers.
kaos
Wow, and I thought my flyer deal was bad. I'd rather have Briere and Gagne and still have McDonaugh, then have Gomez and no McDonaugh
