bbp
I just noticed something. His best season has always came right before he leaves a city. 98'99 was his best as a Yote... 32 wins .923 and 2.13... 2 more wins (in few games), .15 higher SV%, and .61 lower gaa. Started next season with Tampa Best year there was... 03'04. With the amazing playoff run, highest win%, and his lowest gaa (2.33) since 99. Then left for Blackhawks 08'09 was his best there (really his only good one ) Most wins, best SV% by .1 and .3 lower gaa Then next season he left for Oilers where he had two bad seasons and is now destroying... Is he heading out of Oil town at years end? Or will his early success tail off?
dlbalr
I think he may have been humbled a lot over the last year. Losing your starter's job and spending time in prison might have had something to do with it. I suspect he came to camp refocused on restoring his reputation of being a pretty good #1 goalie. Will he fall back to earth? Probably but good on him so far.
Commandant
Those are all UFA deals that get him switching teams. Classic case of ripping it up in a contract year?

Is this the final year of his deal with Edmonton? Or is he actually inspired as Brian says?

BCHabnut
He has been the Oilers best player for three years. When Bulin and Hemsky play well, they win. Now they have the youngster depth and can even win without Hemsky, but Bulin has always been the key tHeir wins.
