Anyone Missing Bouillon?

Wow, if only you knew. Bouillon probably has some of the best positioning for a D-man on our roster. And he can time checks better than anyone. The only knowck on him is that he is small. Think of it this way. How often do you notice Bouillon? Almost never. Why? Because he is always in the right position. We need Bouillon in the playoffs becuase he is just so dependable.

in effect in a perfect world, Boullion becomes for us what dandenault was to Detroit. That +bottom pairing guy who you could switch in and out depending on games, moving him around and giving him more responsibility when necessary while reserving him in his standard role without getting too nervous. Someone who can bring stability to the roster and the performance of the team.

Of course Boullion is not meant to be a top pairing calibre player, but those of us who project him lower do not mean to insinuate that he is useless.

In my opinion, it comes down to this: Francis Bouillon is the ideal bottom pairing defenseman.

And to those folks pulling off that he's playing top-four minutes, well it only reflects that we don't have a true top four defense yet. He should be definitely be ahead of Dandenault, Streit and Simpson on the depth chart, but Dandenault's long-term commitment ensures that he's going to be around here for a while. Where does that leave Francis? Plenty of tough decisions are going to be made soon...(the scratching of Bulis for example)..but let's hope he sticks around.

Things must be slow in Habs land when we're giving this much thought about Bouillon. He's a bottom pair dman, nothing more. Losing streak/winning streak, doesn't matter, it's got nothing to do with whether or not he's in the lineup.
