CoRvInA
With Primeau's retirement saving the Flyers from going over the cap.. being just under 42 mil and with 23 players signed (wonder how Kesler was going to fit anyways?) there still are some teams in dire need of decision making mainly the Devils: 19 players and at 46.5 Mill still 2.5 over! Other teams are not as bad but are about a Mil from cap space but will likely be limited to 20 players! Ottawa pulled it off last year UNTIL the last few games of the season and playoffs the lack of depth was then felt and that screwed them in my opinion! I am still surprised how similar the Sabs and Habs are again this season and the discrepancy in our forcasts! What sets us apart? our Fan base? the city? BTH
I would say NJ but that's old and boring news.
shortcat1
In a way, the only positive thing I can think of with regards to Bobby Clarke is that he's funny ridiculous - his decisions and general attitude are disdainful. I'm glad the people I know, in general, aren't like that. :king: :hlogo: :king:
markierung
Jersey is going to lose Gionta for sure, then prob trade to make room for Gomez i think they'll likely miss the playoffs unless Brodeur plays like Brodeur on roids
jetsniper
I wouldn't be surprised if Gomez got dealt, Calgary is hot on his trail. They've got Allison as a backup plan but Gomez would probably fit in with the team better.
MAK
it depends on wich team thinkthat they have a shot at making the playoff. philly could be a trading partner..may need a goalie. nj of course the rangers have been good to us lately giving kovalev and murray for hossa, balej and a 2nd rounder out west, I think st louis could let go Dman LA: give me dustin brown dallas: gainey/carbonneau have good connections chicago phoenix for some might look for young players and we could use shane doan( related in some matter to carey price..think they're second cousins)
jetsniper
I really, really doubt Phoenix ever trades Doan, him and Gretz are tight. Flyers don't need a goalie either, they're about to give up on Esche and go with Nittymaki who should turn out to be an excellent goaltender. CoRvInA
ok not exactly vulturing... but Im sure as the Goalies start falling and the availability starts diminishing Gainey and co ears start perking up>... http://rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/213930.html Bobby clark is in need of a aprox 2Mil Goalie what could he offer us in return? Mind ya we still have to decide if we keep Abby .... I do like his new helmet! but this is a pro sport!
Pierre the Great
A hard pressed to make a move? well thats easy. Its the Blues. Everyone here hates Pleau he's replaced Keenan as the most hated hockey person in St. Louis history. The 10 fans who still care about the blues always call for his head now. They thought with the new ownership group Larry would be gone but to there horror he's still around.

I don't think he'd be that happy about playing in montreal.
markierung
i don't really want Gangé the guy is overrated. Without Forseberg, he'd get half the goals he's getting now

CoRvInA
well he got 2 now ... and without Forsberg just a thought... If bruins are so interested in getting a Goalie.... and were interested in getting some action from the second line ... would you think a trade between these two teams be a farcry? - With Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen struggling between the pipes, Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said his "finger is not on the trigger" yet, but wouldn't rule out the possibility of dealing for a proven veteran goaltender, reports the Boston Herald. Habs could deal Sergei Sammy, David Abe and a second round draft pick for Bergeron? Bruins would probably want to unload a goalie on us but I think regardless that goalie would be waivered. Tony
Samsonov, Aebischer and 2nd round pick is steep for Bergeron :|
option+
There is no way Boston trades Bergeron. Not unless they want even less people to show up at TD Banknorth Garden or whatever the hell that place is called now...
smon
Yeah it'd be sorta silly too for them to take back Samsonov after dumping him last year. I don't think we'll see too many crazy trades this year, the cap sort of hamstrung most teams for now until the deadline
