I can see why the Habs had some interest as he looks like he could hold his own for 6-8 minutes on an NHL fourth line if he had to. I'm not sure they needed to commit a contract slot to that role but this thankfully isn't another Zack Stortini situation where a fighter with no discernible skill at all gets trotted out on a regular basis.
