dlbalr
With Hamilton done, the Habs have made some recalls. There are some surprising omissions though... G - Condon D - Dietz, Lernout F - Carr, Hudon (inj.), Thomas Andrighetto, assuming his injury from last night is minor, is likely heading to Team Switzerland for the Worlds which is probably why he's omitted. Tangradi not getting a recall is a bit of a surprise though. Tinordi, Allen, Dumont, Bowman, and Bournival all have some sort of injury that likely precludes them from going up. http://www.habsworld.net/2015/04/habs-recall-six-to-their-black-ace-squad/
DON
Nice to see Carr up and was wondering about Lernout, he was being played lots in Hamilton and being a good sized "tough'' kid also in his favour. If Scherbak loses today, got a guess whether he be added; I keep thinking of Timmins comment when he was interviewed at Everett game; "Scherbak & Galchenyuk developed good chemistry at training camp". And the kid can skate, but seems thin and bit non-physical at present stage (might be easily intimidated like Galchenyuk was vs Sens in 12-13?), Timmins said he was a "bit like Bambi on ice" because he grew a lot quickly last year. dlbalr
Maybe they bring Scherbak up but it'd take an awful lot for him to actually get into a game. If they bring him up, it's just to keep him skating more than anything.
DON
BKerr noted Tinordi is out for year after surgery? I did not know that was the case? What kind of surgery was it?
BCHabnut
That is one weak black ace group. Hopefully we don't need them..
dlbalr
BKerr noted Tinordi is out for year after surgery? I did not know that was the case? What kind of surgery was it? I don't recall them changing his status to done for the year but he was supposed to be re-evaluated late in the season with his wrist injury. DON
Maybe it was Drewiski & Tinordi he has backwards?
dlbalr
Maybe it was Drewiski & Tinordi he has backwards? Drewiske for sure has had surgery done and is out for the year and it was a wrist issue for him as well. I wouldn't be shocked if Tinordi was done for the year as well though. Commandant
BKerr noted Tinordi is out for year after surgery? I did not know that was the case? What kind of surgery was it? Lefebvre let it slip to me after the post game scrum on Saturday..... it got confirmed by the team today that he actually had the surgery yesterday. But I asked Lefebvre if Tinordi was going to Brossard to be a black ace and he told me he wasn't.
DON
I saw you noted it today on HIO, thanks and that sucks for the big guy.
dlbalr
Andrighetto and Bournival are with the recalls at Brossard. Both are still hurt but will be recalled officially when they're given the green light by the doctors.
