  1. Today
  2. Bruins are toast. Reffing in the Boston game and so far in the Edmonton game has been poor. Edmonton has a ridiculous amount of talent. The PP movement of both players and the puck is on another level.
  3. 2-2 in Bruin game early 3rd, go Panthers. Outshooting the Bruins 31-18 3-2 Barvov Panthers mid-3rd
  4. Interesting, Marchand is out for game 4. I was wondering if anything would happen to Bennet but apparently not.
  5. Yesterday
  6. A Logan Cooley re-do perhaps? NHL Draft 2024 prospects ranking: Celebrini leads Pronman’s April list, Levshunov follows - The Athletic
  7. Injuries and questions about his hockey IQ seem to be the two big things I'm hearing.
  8. Do you think that's because of injury concerns, or other guys rising or maybe a little of both. Nothing surprises me. Well that's not true, I would be very surprised if Celebrini didn't go #1. After that, who knows.
  9. Helenius with 1a in his first game with the men's national team.
  10. Lindstrom is falling from everything I'm hearing. Don't be surprised if he's outside the top 5.
  11. That's the way I look at it. At this age 6 or 8 months of development can make a big difference.
  12. Great interview with Logan Mailloux's dad about the 40 minute mark, learned a lot about Logan. Didn't realize he went to an all French school and has done several interviews in French. Canadiens Connection
  13. An oft overlooked factor come draft time ... THEORETICALLY, all other factors being equal, if two players are ranked "the same" the MUCH younger player could/should have more upside
  14. I agree with your assessment. I think we all agree the Habs need an elite forward. I think if Demidov or Lindstrom are gone then the forward grouping is likely Iginla, Catton, (I would include Helenius as I like his skill set, IQ, work ethic) and probably Eiserman and maybe Sennecke. I am not as sold on Eiserman although I recognize his goal scoring ability, not sold on the other parts of his game, seems to be a selfish player but he is also one of the youngest guys in the draft so there is room to mature. I think the obvious team to trade up with is Anaheim. That would insure they get one of Demidov/Lindstrom (I am assuming they are targeting one of those guys). Not sure what the cost is to move up 2 spots. I think Anaheim would like a RD and they can likely get that at 5 anyway. I think we need to move ahead of Columbus to get either Demidov/Lindstrom. If we stay at 5 then I also think we may end with Iginla. I think he will be a 30 goal plus scorer at the NHL level, he has really developed nicely, had an excellent playoff and finished 5th in scoring at u18, a lot to like there. Plus (like Eiserman) he is one of the youngest guys in the draft so there he hasn't had as much time to develop as some of the others.
  15. Wow, look at all of those Slafkovsky jerseys. The guy is their national hero
  16. Roy - Kapanen - Beck Sure looks like a great third line
  17. Or they may form 2/3 of the post-rebuild 3rd line
  18. I think Kapanen might leapfrog Beck.
  19. These players are definitely boom or bust. On the one hand you have your Mitch Marners, on the other you have your Vitali Abramovs. As for the Habs this year, for some reason I can’t shake the feeling Iginla is going to be a Hab. Some combo in the top 4 picks take Celebrini, Levshunov, Demidov and Lindstrom off the board, leaving Habs with a choice of remaining top forwards Iginla, Eiserman, or Catton. I think they go with the guy who has developed a reputation for heart/determination + skill; Iginla. I simply don’t see them taking a LD, unless they deem Buium, Dickinson or Silayev a bonfide #1. less likely, the RD options are Parehk and Yakemchuk, but I think the Habs go forward over them. IF Levshunov slips to 5, maybe they go with him. at the end of the day, something is telling me it’ll be Iginla. And frankly, I’d be really excited to see him in a Habs sweater.
  20. Slaf just missed scoring on a breakaway.
  21. I feel like this kid watching Slafkovsky. I love his intensity
  22. Slafkovski playing 'frisky' in game this morning, just tossed into box for mixing it up. I think Kapanen scored for Finns in that game.
